Those were the feelings of Private A Di Luynh, Company 5, Battalion 2, Regiment 1, Division 2 (Military Region 5), after enjoying delicious drinks right on the training ground, prepared by the members of Inter-Group 2.

Present at the AK submachine gun training ground of Battalion 2 on a day in mid-March, the sunlight penetrated through the foliage, shining on people's faces, making the air even hotter. The officers and soldiers of Company 5 were enthusiastically practicing, attentively observing, aiming and shooting at the right target, ensuring the four factors of "equal, firm, even, durable". The concentration and seriousness were clearly shown through each look, decisive movement and drops of sweat soaked into the backs of the officers and soldiers.
Although taking advantage of the shade of trees and grass for training, the hot weather has somewhat affected the training results as well as the health of the soldiers. Understanding and sharing those difficulties, recently, the 2nd Union organized the activity "Supplying water to the training ground, cooling the soldiers' hearts", in order to promptly encourage and motivate the soldiers to overcome difficulties and improve their self-awareness in participating in training. Thereby creating a competitive and serious learning atmosphere, improving the quality of training work, contributing to the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
The cool drinks are the heart of the youth of the 2nd Union sent to the young soldiers. To have delicious drinks, the members and young people have arranged their time and clearly assigned tasks. The comrades proactively woke up early to go to the market, personally selected fresh lemons and tea leaves, and at the same time researched how to mix them to create drinks that are not only delicious and nutritious but also suitable for the taste of the soldiers.
Without anyone telling anyone, each person has their own job, some make tea, some squeeze lemon, some stir sugar... Although each person has a different job, they all try to arrange their time to have a "cool glass of water on the training ground" that is both delicious and nutritious, helping the soldiers have more health to study and train better.
The training days on the training ground are the best time of Uncle Ho's soldiers. |
When the break whistle sounded, the officers and members of the 2nd Union brought cool, refreshing drinks to the soldiers right on the training ground. Not only drinking and chatting with the soldiers, the young people also gathered together to sing loudly, making the heat seem to fade away, calming their hearts, adding excitement for the next training session.
Sharing about this activity, Senior Lieutenant Le Thanh Pho, Deputy Political Commissar of the Battalion, Secretary of the 2nd Inter-Battalion said: “The activity “Feeding water on the training ground, cooling the soldiers’ hearts” is a meaningful activity, timely encouraging, motivating and motivating officers and soldiers directly on the training ground and is enthusiastically received. Thereby promptly grasping the thoughts and feelings of the soldiers”.
“There is nothing better than the sunshine on the training ground” is a funny saying that we heard when talking to new soldiers. Only by directly feeling the sunshine can we understand how determined the officers and soldiers here are to “overcome the sun and rain, train enthusiastically” to complete the training mission well, and how meaningful and practical the cool drinks of the youth of Inter-branch 2 are.
