Continuing and promoting the tradition of former cadres of the Youth Union of Zone VI

(LĐ online) - On the morning of March 22, the program to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025) and the traditional meeting with former Union officials of Zone VI took place in Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan Province).

The program was jointly organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan provinces and the Liaison Committee of Former Youth Union Cadres of Zone VI.

Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Minh Triet - Former Politburo member, former President, former Southern Union official; Tran Hoang Tham - Former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, former Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Bui Van Anh - Deputy Head of the Liaison Committee for Former Southern Union Officials, former Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The program also had the presence of leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province; more than 200 delegates who are former officials of the Youth Union of Zone VI, Standing Committees of the Provincial Youth Union of Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong through the periods, along with outstanding Youth Union officials and members of the 3 provinces.

On the Lam Dong side, there were comrade Doan Van Viet - Former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, terms V and VI; Ndu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and nearly 70 former officials of the Youth Union of Zone VI of Lam Dong province.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates reviewed the 94-year journey of building and developing the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Over the past 94 years, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and generations of Vietnamese youth, including the youth of the three provinces of Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, and Lam Dong, have always promoted the spirit of solidarity, initiative, creativity, and constantly strived and devoted their youth to contribute to the construction and development of the homeland and the country.

In particular, during the years of the resistance war against the US, the battlefield of Zone VI was considered one of the fiercest fronts. With an indomitable spirit and strong will, the cadres of Zone VI Youth Union were always at the forefront on all fronts, from direct combat, strengthening the rear to gathering and leading young people to join the revolution.

Generations of cadres and youth of the Youth Union of Zone VI overcame countless hardships, sacrificed their youth to contribute to the liberation of the South, unification of the country, and wrote heroic pages of the nation's history.

Speaking at the program, Comrade Man Tan Dung - Head of the Liaison Committee of Former Union Cadres of Zone VI, expressed his belief in today's young generation, hoping that each cadre, union member and youth will continue to promote tradition, strive to study and practice following the example of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Generations of Vietnamese youth remember and follow Uncle Ho's teachings: "Always raise revolutionary awareness, be loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People. Actively study to improve political, cultural, scientific, technical, and military qualifications to contribute more and more to the homeland and country."

In order to express gratitude for the contributions of former Youth Union officials of Zone VI, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union of Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces presented 3 gifts, each worth 5 million VND, to former Youth Union officials of Zone VI in difficult circumstances.

The reunion of former Union officials of Zone VI is a traditional activity, held every two years in rotation between the three provinces of Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.
