The price of SJC gold was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at VND90.6 million/tael and bought at VND88.1 million/tael. This is also the listed price at other brands such as DOJI and Bao Tin Manh Hai. Compared to yesterday (February 3), SJC, DOJI and Bao Tin Manh Hai simultaneously increased the buying/selling price of SJC gold bars by VND800,000/tael.
Specifically, the price of 9999 gold today is listed by DOJI at 88.1-90.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 800,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 1.3 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 88.1 - 89.5 million VND/tael. PNJ is keeping the price of SJC gold at 87.5 - 80.3 million VND/tael.
SJC gold price in Phu Quy is traded by businesses at 88.1 - 90.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 800,000 VND/tael for selling.
Commercial banks such as Agribank, BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank listed the selling price of gold bars at 90.6 million VND/tael.

The price of gold rings on the market closely follows the price of gold bars. Specifically, the buying/selling price of 9999 gold rings on February 4 of SJC Company was traded at 88.1 - 90.1 million VND/tael, an increase of 600,000 VND/tael for buying and 900,000 VND/tael for selling compared to February 3. The transaction price of 88.9 - 90.5 million VND/tael is the price listed at DOJI.
Bao Tin Minh Chau and Bao Tin Manh Hai listed the price of 9999 gold rings at VND88.6 million/tael and VND90.5 million/tael (buy in - sell out); PNJ listed the buying/selling price of gold rings at VND88.4 million/tael and VND90.3 million/tael.
Thus, the price of gold rings has reached its highest peak ever, surpassing the level of 89.65 million VND/tael set on October 31, 2024. In just one day, the price of gold rings continuously broke records and reached an unprecedented high in history.

Gold price forecast tomorrow 02/05/2025
The price of gold rings and gold bars has increased sharply as the God of Wealth Day, January 10, is approaching. People have started buying gold since today (January 7) to bring good luck at the beginning of the year, hoping for a new year of good buying and selling, and prosperous business.
At the end of the trading session on February 4 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price on Kitco increased to 2,816.40 USD/ounce. Converting the world gold price according to the foreign exchange rate at Vietcombank on February 4: 1 USD = 25,480 VND, the world gold price is equivalent to 86.46 million VND/tael, 3.84 million VND/tael lower than the SJC gold price at the same time.
DOW JONES NEWSWIRES quoted Mr. Adrian Ash, Director of Research at BullionVault: "The threat of tariffs has caused a surge in gold prices since early December. Currently, the risk of a trade war is a factor that encourages investors to seek gold as a safe haven."
Sharing the same view, JPMorgan analysts said that Mr. Trump's tariff policy has made the market worried about the risk of rising inflation and slowing economic growth. All of these factors boost the attractiveness of gold as a risk-hedging channel.
President Trump signed an executive order late last week imposing 25% tariffs on Canadian and Mexican imports, along with a 10% tariff on Chinese goods. The tariffs have raised concerns about a trade war that could slow global growth and spur inflation.
The US has suspended tariffs on Canada and Mexico, but will impose a 10% tariff on imports from China on February 4, despite Trump saying he will hold further talks with Beijing.
The impact of tariffs on inflation could further strengthen gold’s appeal as a hedge against both price pressures and geopolitical risks. However, it could also lead to higher interest rates, a headwind for the gold market.
“We haven’t seen a full response from gold yet and if this trade war continues for a long time, it could lead to significant gold price increases in the future,” said Bart Melek, head of commodity strategy at TD Securities.
