In Dien Bien province, in 2023, there have been no complicated incidents related to terrorism, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and threats to aviation security and safety. However, there are still many potential risks and conditions that reactionary and terrorist individuals and organizations can take advantage of to conduct sabotage activities. The Dien Bien Provincial Anti-Terrorism Steering Committee has directed functional agencies to coordinate with Dien Bien Airport to effectively control and manage people, vehicles, goods, and luggage entering and leaving the airport. Implement regulations and procedures for inspection and supervision of take-off and landing runways and the control and management of people, vehicles, luggage, and goods transported by air, ensuring a 100% screening rate .
