Recently, relevant agencies, units and the three heritage provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang have actively participated in solving problems to promote the roadmap for building the heritage dossier of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex, with the goal of officially submitting it to UNESCO Paris before December 31 this year.
The construction of the dossier has so far achieved remarkable results. In particular, the results of excavation and additional archaeology at 9 relic sites in 3 provinces, including: Yen Sinh, Am Hoa Pagoda, Trai Cap Pagoda (Trai Cap), Am Thung Pagoda, Bao Dai Pagoda in Quang Ninh; Ho Bac Pagoda, Cao Pagoda, Dam Tri Pagoda in Bac Giang; Thanh Mai 2 Pagoda in Hai Duong, have provided many valuable documents, affirming the sustainable and continuous development with great values of Truc Lam Buddhism.
This Zen sect originated from the Tran Dynasty to the Le and Nguyen Dynasties and has existed until today, with periods of stagnation, through wars, changes in ideology... until the Le Trung Hung period, it flared up again, developing brilliantly, not only in the central area of Yen Tu Mountain but also in all four directions... These documents make important contributions to the construction and completion of the heritage dossier of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage.
Through the process of synthesizing a huge source of documents to write the nomination dossier, the consulting units have developed a draft of the nomination dossier, including 9 chapters (about 950 pages) with specific contents, from identifying the heritage, describing the heritage, reasons for nomination to the conservation status and factors affecting the heritage, protection and management work...
Edit the main story content of the relic chain; draft a general summary (coordination, description of the core zone boundary, buffer zone, criteria, draft declaration on the universal value of the heritage, names and contact information of state agencies; research and debate on Truc Lam Buddhist elements related to each component relic; develop thematic reports on the fields; organize architectural measurements, site maps, boundaries... of the relics according to standard models; assess the current status and develop a conservation plan; translate into English documents on the master plan of the relic sites, management plans for each special national relic.
Scientists have also compiled a report summarizing the research results of the topics, analyzing and proving the selection criteria of the heritage dossier are iii, v and vi. Compiling 33 thematic reports (in Vietnamese and English), a system of maps of various types of relic areas, analyzing, evaluating and selecting relic clusters expected to be included in the dossier, more than 500 photos and drawings of the current status of the relics. During the process of building the dossier, the consulting unit regularly discussed and consulted with international internal consultants (online) to ensure the quality and progress of the nomination dossier.
Currently, the Institute for Monuments Conservation is completing the management plan for 5 relic sites in the heritage complex, including: Yen Tu relic site - scenic spot, Tran Dynasty relic site in Dong Trieu, Vinh Nghiem pagoda, Bo Da pagoda, Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site and a summary of the management plan for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic site - scenic spot complex.
Along with that, localities have organized and implemented the work of embellishing and cleaning the environment of relic sites included in the list of world heritage dossiers, such as: Installing signs, introducing in two languages (English and Vietnamese) the relic sites, at the same time warning about safety, fire prevention and fighting; camera management system at the routes and points of the relics, arranging medical stations, equipment for children, the elderly and the disabled...
To promote the roadmap for completion and protection of heritage records before central and international agencies, in the coming time, the 3 provinces in the heritage area will continue to closely coordinate with the consulting unit to organize related conferences and seminars; prepare content and documents to welcome and serve international experts for on-site assessment; do a good job of embellishing and protecting the landscape and environment... at the relics belonging to the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and scenic complex...
