Pursuant to the invitation letter at reference number GB/AS 1732, WHP. Inv dated October 18, of the International Council on Monuments and Sites ICOMOS on direct dialogue on the scientific dossier of the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a World Heritage Site, on the morning of November 26, the Vietnamese expert-level dialogue delegation led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, had meetings and worked with Mr. Lazane, Director and Head of the Nomination Department of the World Heritage Center; Ambassador, Head of the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO; Ambassadors of the World Heritage Committee in Paris. Participating in the meetings were Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Ambassador, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to UNESCO.
At the working sessions, on behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, discussed and clarified the contents of the dossier of the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac: Heritage story and outstanding global value, the unique value of Truc Lam Buddhist architecture, the difference of Buddhist architecture with other Buddhist architectures in the region; cultural landscape; management work and the role of the community.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, especially emphasized the efforts in building, preserving and promoting the values of the Monument. The Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee hopes that Mr. Lazane, Director of the World Heritage Center, the Ambassador, Head of the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO, and the Ambassadors of the World Heritage Committee in Paris will pay attention to and support the construction, approval and recognition of the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac as a World Heritage.
During the working program in France, the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy and met and worked with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in France. Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, reported on the process and progress of building the Scientific Profile of the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a World Heritage Site; the development achievements of Quang Ninh province and expressed the desire to continue receiving support from the Embassy and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in France.
