Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, visited Hanoi National University and interacted and had lunch with students during the Singaporean Prime Minister's official visit to Vietnam.
Attending the reception for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at Hanoi National University were Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son and Director of Hanoi National University Le Quan.
This is Mr. Lee Hsien Loong's fifth visit to Vietnam as Prime Minister. This shows the closeness and connection between Singapore and Vietnam.
This visit is also part of a series of events organized by the two sides to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore.
The visit of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to Vietnam National University, Hanoi is of great significance, creating momentum to promote educational and training cooperation between the two countries, while also creating opportunities for students to exchange, interact and enhance understanding of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore.

Mr. Lee Hsien Loong said that Singapore is trying to make people use public transport and reduce personal vehicles. That is a way to reduce environmental pollution . But what is more important is people's behavior towards the environment.
He shared that in Singapore, there are many communication campaigns to encourage people to respect the principles of protecting the living environment . This is also taught to students in schools.
Preserving the environment is reflected in specific activities of young people such as planting trees, taking care of and watering plants every day, or designing a green and clean living environment with their families...
However, there are global issues such as global warming and climate change. Singapore is trying to contribute to this through concrete activities and promoting cooperation with other countries.

Opportunity for young people of both countries to exchange, study and work
Speaking to students at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam is paying more attention to digital transformation and green transformation. Among them, solutions to combat climate change are a global issue that all people must pay attention to.
This also requires global cooperation, and deeper cooperation in relations with Singapore - a country with a lot of experience in digital transformation and green transformation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that during his visit to Singapore, the two governments signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation and green transformation. Specifically, cooperation related to database infrastructure and Singapore's experience in digital management.
Regarding green transformation, the two countries will cooperate in exploiting green energy and renewable energy such as from sunlight and wind, which are Vietnam's advantages.
But to exploit it well, we need technology, financial resources, human resources, management capacity... Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that this is a strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in the coming time.
In response, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong said that cooperation between the two countries is a public mutual support. This is the legal basis to create favorable conditions for the youth of the two countries to study and work together, and to encourage talents, entrepreneurs, and scientists to participate in order to achieve the goals of cooperation that the two countries have agreed upon.
On this occasion, under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh National University and Nanyang Technological University (NTU - Singapore) signed a cooperation agreement between the universities in the fields of exchange of staff, lecturers, students and scientific research.
