(NLDO) - The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) announced that there are test results of Kera vegetable candy related to Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs.
On March 20, a source from the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) said that according to the test results, the manufacturer's announcement about the content of ingredients in Kera vegetable candy is basically consistent with the test results.
This result was conducted by the National Institute for Food Safety Control (Ministry of Health).

However, according to a representative of the Food Safety Department, the advertisement that 1 candy is equivalent to 1 plate of vegetables is due to people advertising vegetable candy products on social networks exaggerating the effectiveness.
According to regulations, health protection foods and foods for special diets - two types of functional foods, advertising content must be registered with the authorities.
Before being advertised, health food products must register for advertising confirmation with the authorities and can only be advertised according to confirmed content.
With food supplements, management is decentralized to the locality, the production unit self-declares, is responsible for the content and ensures compliance with regulations under the Law on Advertising and the Law on Food Safety.
Previously, Dak Lak Department of Health had comprehensively inspected this facility, took product samples and sent them to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene for quality testing.
Kera vegetable candy is a product introduced by Asia Life Joint Stock Company (Dak Lak) produced by order of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER Group) headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, founded by Hang Du Muc, Quang Linh Vlogs and some other founding members.

The production unit has supplied about 40,000 - 50,000 boxes of vegetable candy to Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company. This type of candy is continuously livestreamed for sale on social networking platforms by Miss Thuy Tien and the "Chi em rot" team including TikToker Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs.
The product was accused of being "exaggeratedly" advertised as "one pill is equivalent to a plate of vegetables". On March 6, after the uproar related to the incident, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) said that Kera vegetable candy "showed signs of violating regulations on food advertising, causing public outrage".
This has been directed by the Ministry of Health and two health departments have inspected two related businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Dak Lak, namely Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER Group) and Asia Life Joint Stock Company - where Kera vegetable candy is produced.
Miss Thuy Tien, Quang Linh Vlogs, and Hang "Du Muc" apologized after the scandal of "exaggerating" the advertisement of Kera vegetable candy.
Meanwhile, at the "friendly press conference" on March 14, the team that advertised "one pill is equivalent to one plate of vegetables" said that the advertisement was based on a formula produced by Asia Life Joint Stock Company and apologized for causing misunderstanding. CER Group committed and guided the refund procedure for customers who purchased the vegetable candy product.
