(PLVN) - Corps 12/Truong Son Construction Corporation has just held a launching ceremony for the emulation campaign "Breakthrough, lightning speed, decisive victory" to complete on schedule the North-South Expressway Project, Bung - Van Ninh section and Van Ninh - Cam Lo section.
The two above-mentioned component projects pass through the provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri, invested by PMU6 and PMU Ho Chi Minh Road (Ministry of Transport). Truong Son Construction Corporation and the units in the consortium won the bid to construct Package XL02 (Km655+285.04 - Km674+556.65) Bung - Van Ninh section, worth 3,501 billion VND, and Package XL01 (Km675+400 - Km708+350) Van Ninh - Cam Lo section, worth 3,361 billion VND.
The purpose of this peak period is to respond to the movement "500 days and nights of competition to complete 3,000 km of expressway" launched by the Prime Minister on August 18. In addition, this is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
“Truong Son Construction Corporation is a military enterprise that has participated in many vertical and horizontal expressway projects nationwide, including many components of the North-South Eastern Expressway Project, Phase 1 and 2. Therefore, for Truong Son soldiers, the emulation movement of 500 days and nights to complete 3,000km of expressway is an order for soldiers,” Major General Nguyen Huu Ngoc - Commander of Corps 12/Truong Son Construction Corporation told PLVN.
It is known that before the emulation campaign launched on September 14, the construction teams of "General" Truong Son at the 2 above-mentioned project sites organized to work "3 shifts, 4 times", working through the National Day holiday - September 2...

In the North Central region, in addition to the two above-mentioned expressway projects, Truong Son also participates in a number of other important projects such as Component 2 Project to expand Dong Hoi Airport.
“Many projects must be implemented at the same time, but with the spirit of “going to war is to win”, the Corps Command, the Executive Boards, the affiliated companies... will manage and arrange human resources and equipment in a timely and scientific manner to achieve the best results when the emulation period ends on December 31, 2024, thereby contributing to the on-schedule completion of 2 projects belonging to the North-South Expressway”, the Commander of Corps 12/Truong Son Construction Corporation affirmed.
Previously - in July 2024, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang inspected the project site and requested the investor and contractors to strive to complete the project's opening to traffic by April 30, 2025.
