In Hanoi, the University of Foreign Languages, Hanoi National University, and the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology announced that they will adjust their teaching and learning methods to online from September 11 until further notice. Direct practical classes will be postponed and will be rescheduled later.
Hanoi Capital University and the National Academy of Public Administration have switched from in-person to online teaching according to the issued schedule starting from September 11 to September 15.
Hanoi University of Business and Technology has adjusted the form of the first week of student-citizen activities for the 29th course (2024-2025 school year) from September 11 to an in-person or online schedule, depending on the students' choice. The school's classes were also held online in advance due to the impact of storms and floods.
"The school encourages students in areas heavily affected by storms and floods, if they cannot attend in person, to choose online learning to ensure their study progress," the announcement stated.

The University of Mining and Geology announced that from September 10, all learning and teaching activities will be transferred to online form until further notice. The school requires all staff and students to strictly comply with the evacuation order and evacuate to a safe place as directed by local authorities. If there are difficulties in moving or finding temporary accommodation, individuals should proactively contact the school.
The University of Transport informs new students that they can enroll later than the regulations on the following days of the week from September 11-13. In special cases, students can enroll on September 16.
The University of Law (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) informed that to ensure the safety of students of class K69 in Hoa Lac during their travel from the provinces to Hanoi, the school continues to postpone the class schedule of class K69 students until September 16.
Nguyen Trai University has temporarily postponed some activities for new students of K24. For the remaining courses, faculties will proactively organize online or in-person learning. Faculties can also postpone classes if necessary.
Similarly, the University of Economics and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Tue Tinh Hanoi College of Medicine and Pharmacy announced that students will switch to online learning from the afternoon of September 10 until further notice.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has given new students (course 69) a break from September 9 to 11. For second-year students and above, the school will teach online until September 14, except for practical, experimental, and National Defense and Security Education classes that will still be taught in person.
Physical education classes are off from September 9 to September 14, and normal school hours are scheduled to resume from September 16.
From September 16, all courses will return to offline learning according to the schedule.

Meanwhile, the University of Economics and Industrial Technology postponed the welcoming ceremony for new students to this weekend and switched the civic activity week from in-person to online.
The University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced that it will organize online teaching for students from September 10 to September 14 due to the impact of heavy rain and floods in Hanoi and neighboring provinces. Depending on the development of heavy rain and floods in the following days, the school will have new announcements (if necessary).
In Hai Phong, Hai Phong University said it is focusing on overcoming the consequences of Typhoon Yagi; therefore, K25 students will continue to be off school until September 15 (except for students scheduled for civics week on September 14-15. K24 students and earlier will switch to online learning from September 11 until further notice.
Located in an area heavily affected by floods, the University of Science and the University of Information and Communication Technology under Thai Nguyen University have allowed students to take a break from school from September 10 and will announce make-up classes once the situation stabilizes.
In addition, the school issued an urgent notice, asking students in flooded areas or areas at risk of flooding to immediately move to friends and relatives (high, safe places) or the school dormitory. The school also reminded students to prepare food and water to cope with flooding, avoid going out when not necessary and pay attention to electrical safety during this period.
