Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh shared: Educational innovation poses many great requirements and challenges for the entire industry, in which the pioneers of innovation are teachers.
Therefore, the education sector always recognizes and appreciates the efforts, endeavors, and dedication to overcome obstacles and difficulties of teachers, especially teachers in remote areas, areas with few advantages in terms of economic and social conditions.
The Deputy Minister hopes that teachers will continue to try, make efforts, overcome difficulties, and contribute to the education sector in carrying out innovation tasks.
Launched in 2015, the program "Sharing with teachers" has so far honored 458 outstanding teachers across the country.
These are teachers who are "staying close to the village" day and night to teach in remote areas, areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions; teachers who are teaching in remote island districts and communes; teachers who are officers and soldiers of the Border Guard wearing green uniforms;
Special education teachers teach students with disabilities; teachers from ethnic minorities are working in remote, isolated, and extremely disadvantaged areas.
This year, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Ethnic Committee and Thien Long Group commended outstanding teachers working in schools in disadvantaged communes in regions I, II, and III in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 51 provinces and centrally-run cities, in the period of 2021 - 2025 according to Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated June 1, 2021 of the Prime Minister.
In addition to the examples of teachers introduced and proposed by the Vietnam Youth Union of provinces and cities, the Organizing Committee also requested socio-political organizations, social organizations, central and local press agencies to nominate and introduce exemplary teachers who meet the criteria set out in the Plan.
Each teacher honored at the program will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training, a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and a Commemorative Medal from the Ethnic Committee.
At the meeting, teachers shared and discussed about teaching and learning at schools and localities where they are working, such as: teacher policies; policies for students in remote areas; youth union work in schools; cultural behavior in schools, etc.
