However, the implementation of the new program also encountered certain difficulties. The integration of natural sciences and social sciences is still inadequate when teachers are trained to teach each subject; the solution to organize training for teachers to teach integrated teaching is also not really effective.
Ms. Hoang Hai Van expressed her hope that the Minister would have solutions to improve the quality of training for teachers teaching integrated subjects.
Sharing the same opinion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thieu Hoa - a teacher from Nghe An province also said that the requirement to teach integrated subjects of Natural Sciences, History and Geography, so teachers who are trained in single subjects must participate in training to teach.
Training according to the curriculum framework issued under Circulars 2454 and 2455 of the Ministry basically helps teachers to be able to teach integrated subjects. However, in order for teachers to be more confident and teach more effectively, the Ministry of Education and Training needs to have policies, directions, and instructions to continue to have solutions to help teachers become more complete, more confident, and teach more effectively.
In addition, the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program and new textbooks for high school has been implemented up to grade 11 according to the roadmap. However, both teachers and students are still unclear about the high school graduation exam and university admission plan.
Ms. Hoa expressed her hope that the Ministry of Education and Training will soon issue documents guiding and orienting the 2025 high school graduation exam and university admissions so that teachers will know.
