Research topics under the KX.05 Program in the coming period will detect overall bottlenecks and bottlenecks in each field, aiming to find breakthrough solutions to unlock human, intellectual, and resource resources.
The information was given by Prof. Dr. Hoang The Lien, Head of the program "Research on Building and Perfecting Institutions to Create Dynamics for Rapid and Sustainable Development of the Country in New Conditions" (code KX.05/21-30) at the workshop on research content orientation, held on the morning of November 15. The workshop was organized by the Management Board of the KX.05/21-30 Program in coordination with the Office of State-Level Key Programs and the Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural Sciences, Ministry of Science and Technology.
According to Professor Lien, in reality, institutions are built but there are still bottlenecks, which need a comprehensive view to solve. To do this, large-scale research is needed to ensure consistency and synchronization. The program identifies goals that list bottlenecks in each field. From there, find ways to clear bottlenecks and perfect institutions to create momentum for rapid and sustainable development.

In the previous stage, the KX programs made many recommendations, distilled from tasks serving the drafting of Party Congress documents.
According to Professor Lien, the topics in the program for the next period set a target of at least 20% of the tasks having scientific products sent to Party agencies, serving the development of draft documents for the Congress; 4% of the tasks having products sent to State agencies to develop and complete policies and laws to serve the country's new development. 100% of the tasks have results published in scientific journals, prestigious scientific journals, at least 2% of the tasks have scientific products published in international specialized journals.
In the 2016-2020 period, the National Key Science Program has 6 programs in the field of science and technology (KC) and one in the field of social sciences and humanities (KX).
In the 2021-2030 period, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved 12 KC programs and 5 KX programs. The programs are restructured based on the 10-year socio-economic development strategy (2021-2030), with enterprises as the center, research institutes and schools as research subjects, and attracting social resources.
