In 2023, the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Tam Diep City closely followed the leadership and direction of the province, focused on timely, in-depth and drastic leadership and direction of all aspects of work, along with the efforts and determination of all levels, sectors, army and people of the city, so the city achieved relatively comprehensive results in all fields, completing and exceeding 12/12 set targets.
Party and government building work has been carried out synchronously, comprehensively and effectively; the political system has been increasingly consolidated. The City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee have focused on leading and directing Party committees at all levels to organize mid-term reviews for the 2020-2025 term and set out key tasks and solutions to focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 10th City Party Congress.
Organizational and personnel work has been directed with attention. Up to now, 7/9 Party Committee Secretaries and 5/9 Chairmen of Ward and Commune People's Committees have been assigned who are not local people. Directing the organization of the vote of confidence for leadership and management positions in the city's political system to ensure compliance with regulations and achieve good results.
Directing the completion of the targets of admitting party members and establishing party cells in non-state enterprises. The rate of grassroots party organizations classified as completing their tasks well or better reached 98.5%.
The economy continued to grow; industrial production, trade and services grew well; agricultural production developed steadily; total state budget revenue in the area reached 339,787 million VND, reaching 129.5% of the estimate excluding the provincial budget's special auction area.
Site clearance work for key projects, especially the East-West road construction project in Ninh Binh province (phase I), was closely and resolutely directed and completed on schedule.
There has been much progress in culture and society, social security has been ensured; people's lives have been improved and raised. The work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; and administrative reform has been focused on.
In 2023, the District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) will rank 2nd, up 2 places compared to 2022; local defense and military will be strengthened; political security and social order and safety will be ensured.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung acknowledged and congratulated the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of Tam Diep city in 2023, contributing to the overall development of the province.
Regarding the key tasks in 2024, the Vice Chairman suggested that the Tam Diep City Party Committee should closely follow the province's political tasks to build goals with a strategic vision for Tam Diep City. Therein, it is necessary to have higher determination, greater efforts and more drastic actions to successfully complete the set goals, contributing to the province's efforts to 2035, making Ninh Binh a centrally-run city.
Noting that the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 is approaching, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the immediate future, the city should pay attention to taking care of the material and spiritual lives of policy families, meritorious people, poor households, and people in difficult circumstances. Organize activities for people to enjoy Tet and welcome spring happily, safely, and economically.
Along with that, the City Party Committee continues to pay attention to Party building work; grasp the aspirations of the people, and properly resolve their legitimate recommendations. Continue to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle in conjunction with Party building and rectification.
Promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity, focusing on directing socio-economic development tasks, focusing on doing a good job of planning; paying attention to building and developing Tam Diep II industrial cluster; continuing to attract investment, especially high-tech and clean-tech projects with large revenue sources; promoting tourism development.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that the city must give high priority to education development and improve the quality of human resources. Focus on protecting natural resources and the environment, proactively preventing and combating natural disasters. Tighten discipline and order in performing public duties, and promote administrative reform.
Maintain political security, social order and safety, ensure national defense and security. Pay attention to and improve social security work, contributing to increasing people's income.
At the conference, authorized by the Prime Minister, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to the people and officials of Tam Diep city for their excellent and comprehensive completion of the task of leading the province's patriotic emulation movement in 2022.
On this occasion, Tam Diep City Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 grassroots party organizations that excellently completed their tasks in 2023 and awarded Certificates of Merit to 41 party members who met the criteria for excellently completing their tasks for 5 consecutive years.
