In the changing phase of spring, our nation is also facing a great opportunity to rise up strongly. On the development runway that has been shaped, the race to gain advantages, or seize favorable opportunities, does not allow for any satisfaction or delay.
The connotation of the concept of “new era” - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise, has been clearly pointed out by scientists and researchers: It is the era of acceleration and breakthrough of our nation under the leadership of the Party, aiming to realize the goal of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam, “standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the five continents”. At the same time, realizing the aspiration for comprehensive development, prosperity, freedom and happiness of the people. However, to confidently enter the new era, the fundamental factor or the most important driving force is to highly promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, strengthen social consensus; at the same time, strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism, the will of national self-reliance, the belief and aspiration to contribute of each Vietnamese person.
Faced with the new development opportunities of the nation, each locality, including Thanh Hoa, must make every effort to accelerate so as not to be left behind. However, to accelerate, it is necessary to launch a strong internal force and a correct vision. For example, a kite that wants to fly high and far always needs a solid support on the ground. The development aspirations of the nation or each locality are the same, both need a strong ground support and position. At the same time, it is necessary to have an orientation or vision that acts as a "compass" - accurate, appropriate, close to reality, scientific and highly feasible.
With Thanh Hoa, President Ho Chi Minh had set his expectations for a model province early on. Then, after several decades of implementing the renovation process, Thanh Hoa has accumulated a relatively solid foundation, creating a premise to gradually build the stature of a model province.
In particular, Resolution No. 58-NQ/TW dated August 5, 2020 of the Politburo (12th tenure) on building and developing Thanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and the Resolution of the 19th Congress of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, have clearly outlined the development direction and goals for Thanh Hoa. That is, "by 2025, strive to be among the leading provinces in the country - a new growth pole, together with Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh forming a development quadrangle in the North of the country; by 2030, becoming an industrial province in a modern direction, with people having a higher standard of living than the national average". This is a big goal, while the door to 2025 has opened. Time is running out and therefore, it does not allow for any complacency or loss of focus. On the contrary, it requires high solidarity and unity to transform opportunities, potentials and resources into advantages for development. To do so, arousing and promoting the endogenous strength of patriotism, the will to be self-reliant, the aspiration to build and develop Thanh Hoa into a rich, beautiful, civilized and modern one in the new era, is both a task and a central and consistent solution.
To confidently enter the era of national development, a core factor is to build trust and multiply the strength of the People, taking the People as the root; valuing intelligence and making use of talents. Believing in the strength of the People is inevitable, as President Ho Chi Minh affirmed, "In the world, nothing is stronger than the united strength of the People". Taking the People as the root is also relying on the People's talent, strength, hearts and rights. At the same time, valuing and nurturing talents is like protecting the vitality of a prosperous nation. This is even more true for Thanh Hoa, when wanting to develop quickly and sustainably, the consensus, unanimity and unity of each Thanh Hoa citizen will become a strong support. On the contrary, if lacking the strength, determination and participation of the People, the cause of building a prosperous Thanh Hoa will not have a strong support. In other words, the consensus of the People is a prerequisite for effectively promoting the will and aspiration to develop a rich and beautiful homeland.
Talking about the factors that are hindering and even hindering development, General Secretary To Lam repeatedly emphasized the three "bottlenecks", which are institutions, infrastructure and human resources. At the same time, he pointed out that the organization and apparatus of the political system are still cumbersome, with many levels and focal points; the effectiveness and efficiency of operations have not met the requirements and tasks. These are also the "shackles" that can affect the journey into the new era of the nation. The issues raised by the General Secretary are also the urgent tasks facing each locality, including Thanh Hoa at this time. In order to do so, we must remove the three "bottlenecks", as well as focus highly on and resolutely implement the arrangement and streamlining of the organization and apparatus of the political system, ensuring synchronization, smoothness, and effective and efficient operation. That is the solution to unlock resources for local socio-economic development.
And after all, to lead the nation's rise, that historic mission can only be the Communist Party of Vietnam. To be the great helmsman to lead our nation to a strong breakthrough, more than ever, we must focus on building and rectifying the Party, improving the Party's leadership capacity, governing capacity and fighting strength. In particular, we must focus on building a team of cadres with sufficient qualities, abilities and prestige, equal to the task, closely attached to the people to build the people's trust in the Party and the political system. This is also an urgent task for Thanh Hoa, with the focus on building a provincial Party Committee that is united and strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres. Resolutely and persistently fight and prevent manifestations of bureaucracy, corruption and waste. Focus on building culture within the Party, within the political system, especially culture in performing public duties, culture of serving the people of the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees.

More than 70 years ago, in an article sent to a foreign magazine, President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "The future of the Vietnamese people is as bright as the spring sun". As he expected, our people have taken steady steps on the journey to the shore of prosperity and happiness. It is a journey of constant struggle and persistent effort towards a bright future for Vietnam. And, on the journey towards that light, Thanh Hoa needs a mindset that is always ready to seize opportunities, face challenges and make the highest efforts and determination, to join the whole country in opening the door to a new era - an era of strong growth for the Vietnamese people.
