Da Nang youth learn from history, firmly establish their career

Hundreds of Da Nang youth union members watched documentaries and listened to touching stories from the People's Armed Forces Heroes at the program "Exchange with historical witnesses" on December 19.

The program was organized by the Da Nang City Youth Union in coordination with the City Veterans Association on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.

With the theme "Following the tradition of our ancestors, accompanying young people to establish themselves and their careers", the program aims to educate the tradition of remembering the source of drinking water, helping young union members clearly perceive historical values, thereby building a beautiful ideal of life, a spirit of dedication, and civic responsibility in the new period.

The program was attended by Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, leaders of the City Youth Union, the City Veterans Association, and outstanding Youth Union officials who won the Central-level Ly Tu Trong Award in 2024.

Here, delegates watched a documentary film recreating the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, thereby arousing patriotism and national unity.

In particular, historical witnesses such as Armed Forces Heroes Nguyen Thi Tam and Tran Ngoc Trung shared touching stories about sacrifice and the spirit of overcoming difficulties during important historical periods of the country.

This is a valuable opportunity for young people to learn experience, cultivate beautiful ideals and orient their career in the new period.

Mr. Le Cong Hung - Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, said that the exchange between generations not only helps young union members receive historical values, but also encourages them to boldly pursue their dreams and strive to contribute to the common development.

"Throughout the journey of building and defending the country, generations of fathers and grandfathers have sacrificed their blood and bones to protect their homeland. That tradition is the torch that lights the way, the motivation for today's youth to constantly strive to overcome challenges, confidently rise up to build the country," Mr. Hung shared.
