Billionaire father, mother in top 10 richest people on the stock exchange, 24-year-old daughter's assets are nearly 10,000 billion

Techcombank's TCB shares rose 5.4% on March 4, becoming the code with the greatest contribution to the VN-Index's rise. The stock market assets of TCB's chairman's family also increased rapidly.

Stock prices rise, billionaire family 'counts money' at a dizzying pace

At the end of the trading session on March 4, TCB stock price increased by 5.36%, climbing to the price range of 27,500 VND.

Strong cash flow, trading volume of this code pushed up to nearly 40.2 million units, nearly 3.5 times higher than the average session in the past 3 months.

After bottoming out at the end of 2022, TCB shares have been in a recovery cycle since then amid strong profit growth. In particular, in the past year, the stock has increased in price by nearly 36%. Its market capitalization is also approximately VND200,000 billion (more than USD7.5 billion).

The stock's rise has brought "sweet fruit" to shareholders. Among them, the family of Mr. Ho Hung Anh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Techcombank - holds nearly 1.4 billion shares.

Today's session alone, the assets of the TCB chairman's family increased by nearly 2,000 billion VND, to more than 38,000 billion VND.

According to the 2024 management report, Mr. Hung Anh holds more than 78.6 million TCB shares, equivalent to more than 1.11% of the bank's capital.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, wife of TCB's chairman, holds more than 348.26 million shares, equivalent to 4.93% of Techcombank's capital and more than 4 times the number of shares her husband owns.

The son of TCB's chairman and his wife, Ho Anh Minh, owns 4.87% of the bank's capital, equivalent to more than 344.68 million shares.

The remaining two daughters of the chairman, Ho Thuy Anh and Ho Minh Anh, hold 344.68 million (4.87%) and 144.12 million (2.03%) TCB shares, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Huong Lien - the chairman's sister-in-law - also holds nearly 139.3 million Techcombank shares.

The increase in TCB shares in recent years has helped Ho Thuy Anh (born in 2001) - daughter of chairman Ho Hung Anh - increase her assets rapidly despite being only 24 years old.

As mentioned above, Ho Thuy Anh directly holds 344.68 million TCB shares, exactly the same as her brother's shares. Converted to market value, this asset is about 9,500 billion VND.

The daughter of Techcombank's chairman bought TCB shares for the first time in 2021 with about 22.5 million units.

By September 2023, Ho Thuy Anh bought nearly 82.2 million TCB shares. Just a few months later, the daughter of TCB's chairman bought more than 67.68 million TCB shares to increase her ownership to 172.34 million.

Since then, the daughter of a billionaire has maintained her ownership ratio, but the number of shares has increased after receiving a 1:1 stock dividend.

It is estimated that Thuy Anh has made a profit of nearly 4,000 billion VND, after spending a total of about 5,900 billion VND to own the current amount of TCB shares.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, wife of TCB's chairman, is in the top 10 richest people on the stock market with assets of about 10,000 billion VND.
