No auction of frequencies 713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz due to lack of businesses

The auction of the right to use the B2-B2' frequency band (713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz) did not take place as planned due to the lack of the minimum number of participating businesses as required.

According to information from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), by the deadline for submitting documents (5:00 p.m. on February 18, 2025), 3 enterprises submitted registration documents to participate in the auction of radio frequency usage rights for the B2-B2' band (713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz).

However, by the end of the deposit deadline, 5:00 p.m. on February 20, 2025, only 1 enterprise had paid the money as prescribed.

Therefore, based on legal regulations, National Joint Stock Auction Company No. 5 does not organize the auction of radio frequency usage rights for the B2-B2' frequency band because it does not meet the minimum number of enterprises eligible to participate in the auction as prescribed.

The Ministry of Science and Technology will consider and decide on re-auctioning the B2-B2 frequency band at an appropriate time.

The starting price of the B2-B2' band block will be determined in accordance with the auction time.

The B2-B2' band (713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz) is planned for the deployment of mobile communication systems according to the IMT-Advanced standard and subsequent versions, using the frequency division duplex (FDD) method.
