Remove illegal advertising and graffiti
Young electricians from the Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation spent the weekend removing illegal advertisements and graffiti on electrical cabinets in the central area of District 1. The team of young electricians supported the bundling of electrical cables in some alleys.
Present in the team, Mr. Le Hoang Minh said he had participated in many volunteer activities of the unit and hoped to contribute to the safe use of electricity in public places by participating in neatly bundling electrical wires.
Huynh Tan Khuong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation, said that the unit's young people have cleaned the electrical cabinets many times, but they were soon covered in graffiti again. This is both time-consuming and costly.
"We hope there will be stronger measures, with heavy penalties for those who post illegal advertisements when they violate regulations to deter others," said Mr. Khuong.

In Nha Be district, the District Youth Union and the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Open University organized a Green Living Festival in apartments within the framework of this peak volunteer day.
At Phu My Thuan apartment building (Phu Xuan commune, Nha Be district), you gave trees to the people with the message that each person should plant one more tree to both beautify the living space and contribute to preventing environmental pollution.
People also cleaned up the area around the apartment building and some nearby streets with accumulated garbage. At the same time, the young people distributed recycled shopping bags to the people and painted murals to promote environmental protection.
Bringing his 5-year-old son to join, Mr. Ngo Thanh Luan said that his family has been living in the apartment for over a year now, actively working with neighbors to build a culture of behavior in the common environment.
"My family also plants some green trees on the balcony, both to relieve stress and to add a little green to the apartment and the family's living space" - Mr. Luan boasted.
Dang Nguyen Hoai Thuong, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University Youth Union, said that along with the propaganda team on environmental protection, tree planting, and building a green lifestyle in apartment buildings, the school also mobilizes students to carry out many volunteer activities.
"If only young people and citizens were a little more aware, our living environment would definitely improve," Thuong said.
