On March 27, Terre des Hommes (Federal Republic of Germany) coordinated with the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Protection of Children's Rights of Thanh Hoa province to organize a conference to deploy the project "Improving community capacity in preventing and combating physical violence against children in Thanh Hoa province".

A representative of Terre des Hommes said that the project will be implemented from March 2024 to the end of October 2026 in 15 wards and communes of Thanh Hoa city and Hau Loc and Hoang Hoa districts (Thanh Hoa province).
The project aims to integrate non-violent parenting education and positive discipline into child protection mechanisms in Thanh Hoa province. This will contribute to protecting children from physical violence through raising awareness of physical violence and positive discipline; improving capacity on positive discipline for local officials and civil society organizations working in the field of child protection; community initiatives on non-violent education; integrating and mainstreaming physical violence prevention into child protection mechanisms.

According to the representative of Terre des Hommes, this is an activity to realize the program "Improving living conditions for Women and Children" in the period of 2020 - 2025 in Vietnam. The project is implemented in parallel in many provinces and cities such as Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Lang Son...
In March 2024, Terre des Hommes coordinated with the Women's Union of Binh Thuan province to organize 12 training courses in 12 communes and towns of 3 districts of Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Tan and LaGi town (Binh Thuan province) for more than 900 members to access loans, thereby effectively promoting project capital.
Here, the reporters from the Office of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); Vietnam Business Connection Community (OBC Vietnam); Provincial Agricultural Extension Center; Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Quality Management... shared with members and women new knowledge and skills on household financial management, application of scientific and technical advances in agricultural production, livestock breeding according to safety standards... At the same time, this is an opportunity for loan members to discuss difficulties and problems in the implementation process.

At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, Vice President of the Binh Thuan Provincial Women's Union, acknowledged the efforts of Terre des Hommes to improve living conditions for members and local women. She believes that the capital supported by the project will promote, create jobs and increase income for members who receive loans, contributing to improving living conditions for women and children, especially in rural areas.
