Together with BAC A BANK, contribute to ending violence against women and children

For each customer who opens a new savings package “Nest Builder” during the Orange To campaign in collaboration with UN Women, BAC A BANK and the Fund for Vietnamese Stature will contribute 63,000 VND/book to the Support Fund to improve the livelihoods of women who have suffered violence and are in difficult circumstances in Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province.
From November 15, 2023 to December 15, 2023, BAC A BANK, TH Group and the Fund for Vietnamese Stature in collaboration with UN Women will implement the campaign "To orange with BAC A BANK - Action to end violence against women and children" with the message "Joining hands for the true happiness of Vietnamese women and children". This campaign aims to raise awareness among customers and employees of Bac A Bank about the issue of violence against women and children, and at the same time promote practical actions to support victims of violence. This is also one of the activities towards the 30th anniversary of BAC A BANK's establishment (September 17, 1994 - September 17, 2024).

In response to the Orange Bowl Campaign, BAC A BANK has decorated Orange Bowls at 63 locations with 55 branches (at transaction points), 8 departments of Bac A Bank nationwide, hoping to bring solidarity among Bac A people with meaningful actions that bring good human values to the community and society. Orange corner decoration contests and orange corner check-in photo contests with orange clothes and accessories are organized to spread good values to the community. For each "Nest Builder" savings book opened by customers during the campaign, BAC A BANK and the Fund for Vietnamese Stature will contribute 63,000 VND/book to the Support Fund to improve the livelihoods of women who have suffered violence and are in difficult circumstances in Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province. This fund will provide interest-free loans to women and operate in a revolving manner.

At TH Group, the Orange To Campaign is communicated directly at the system of 25 TH truemart stores in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Each customer who buys an orange product and checks in at the orange corner, shares the campaign message with the hashtag #TocamcungTH will receive a meaningful gift from the Organizing Committee. For each orange product purchased at the 25 TH truemart stores mentioned above, VSF will contribute 630 VND to the Fund to support improving the livelihoods of women who have suffered violence and are in difficult circumstances. The "CAM Stories" contest was launched at TH Group and BAC A BANK to honor individuals who have contributed to gender equality in the workplace, family or community.

It is expected that 600 million VND from the Campaign of BAC A BANK and TH will be contributed to the Support Fund to improve the livelihoods of women who have suffered violence and are in difficult circumstances in Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province, and will provide interest-free loans to them. The leader of Bac A Bank shared: “On the occasion of the Action Month for Gender Equality, the To Cam Campaign with BAC A BANK has contributed to improving the value of life, joining hands for the true happiness of Vietnamese women and children. Life will be better if each of us contributes a small action. With the motto "Keeping a bright mind to reach far and wide" and "For people", besides business activities, BAC A BANK is very interested in and carries out many social charity activities with an amount of tens of billions of VND each year." According to the results of the 2019 National Survey on Violence Against Women in Vietnam by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, violence against women has serious consequences for economic development and women's physical and mental health. Nearly two-thirds of women (63%) have experienced at least one form of violence by their husband or intimate partner in their lifetime, and 31.6% of women have experienced violence in the 12 months prior to the survey. The estimated economic loss caused by violence to the Vietnamese economy is about VND 100,507 billion, equivalent to 1.8% of GDP. Therefore, the theme of the UNiTE Campaign 2023 is: "Solidarity! Investing resources to prevent violence against women and girls" with the message: "Investment in prevention always pays off".

The Orange Bowl Campaign with BAC A BANK - TH - For Vietnamese Stature Fund has contributed to spreading humanistic values to thousands of employees, their families and the community. This meaningful activity not only received enthusiastic response from the Bank's employees but also attracted many female customers to send the Nest Builder Savings product and check in at the Orange Bowl corner of the Bank.
