Training on conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values ​​in Nghe An province

Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage Management, Department of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism; leaders of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports and more than 100 trainees who are officers of the Department of Culture - Information, Center of Culture - Sports and Communication of districts, cities and towns.

Nghe An is an ancient land, the system of relics shows the continuity of humans from the Paleolithic era to the present day. Besides, Nghe An is also the province with the largest natural area in the country with 6 ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, Mong, O Du, living together, together building for themselves a treasure of tangible and intangible heritages diverse, rich, and rich in identity.

Regarding tangible cultural heritage, the province has 2,602 inventoried relics, of which 480 relics are ranked at all levels (Special National level: 6 relics; National level: 144 relics; Provincial level: 330 relics).

In recent years, the work of preserving, restoring and promoting the value of heritages in the province has always been of interest to organizations and individuals. Therefore, many relics have been restored and restored with State funds, many relics have been restored and restored with socialized funds (such as Thanh Liet Temple, Duc Hoang Temple, Trang Liet Temple, Tran Hung Dao Temple, etc.).

Besides tangible cultural heritage, Nghe An also has a unique system of intangible cultural heritage. In the whole province, there are currently 463 intangible cultural heritages that have been inventoried.

The training conference on the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values ​​in Nghe An province in 2023 aims to improve the effectiveness of the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values ​​in the whole province; Provide trainees with some new policies and guidelines, some changes in legal documents related to the conservation, restoration and promotion of cultural heritage values.

In particular, the training conference helps trainees better identify unique intangible cultural heritages in Nghe An province, and share experiences in building cultural tourism products to contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality. From there, trainees will have more knowledge to serve the work of preserving and promoting local heritage.

During the 2-day course (November 1 and 2, 2023), trainees were informed of policies and laws related to the management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage; methods of identifying, preserving and promoting cultural heritage; experience in building unique cultural tourism products and organizing experience learning at a number of relic sites in the area.
