On the morning of February 8, during his working program in Quang Nam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and surveyed the production complex of THACO Group in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.
THACO is a multi-industry corporation based on industrial management, including key industries of the country's economy: Automobile, Agriculture, Mechanics and Supporting Industry, Investment - Construction, Trade - Services and Logistics, with integration and complementarity, aiming for sustainable development in the context of international economic integration.
In the process of developing production and business, THACO always pays attention to and follows the country's development orientation, the industrialization and modernization process and the Government's industrial development strategies, while grasping trends and opportunities to develop production and business.

In which, THACO AUTO (automobile manufacturing and trading): implements the strategy of manufacturing and trading full range of vehicles (trucks, buses, tourist vehicles, new energy vehicles) with product segments (mid-range, high-end) carrying international brands and THACO brand to meet usage conditions in Vietnam and specific needs of customers.
In 2024, more than 91,000 cars of all kinds were sold, accounting for more than 32% of the domestic car market share. Exports reached more than 1,100 cars of all kinds with export revenue of more than 12.6 million USD. Plan for 2025, complete investment in construction and put into operation a new car R&D Center; Focus on product research and development activities. The target of car sales is over 100,000 cars, focusing on high-value products to achieve revenue of 80,847 billion VND and export over 4,000 cars with revenue of more than 35 million USD.

THACO AGRI (agricultural production): with an investment strategy in integrated/circular agricultural production (cultivation, livestock) on an organic basis with a large industrial scale; comprehensive application of mechanization, biotechnology and digitalization with a suitable roadmap; throughout the value chain to the export market with fresh and processed products. In 2024, it invested in planting more than 2,300 hectares of bananas, a total herd of 111,000 cows and 85,000 pigs, with consolidated revenue reaching more than 2,000 billion VND.

In 2025, enter the stage of strong investment and construction to develop crop and livestock farming according to the model that has been successfully tested in recent years based on the strategy of industrial agricultural production, large scale integrated with closed value chain. Plant more than 10,000 hectares of bananas, fresh banana export output reaches more than 270,000 tons; total herd of cows over 250,000, newly plant more than 4,000 hectares of fruit trees (durian, mango, grapefruit ...); total herd of pigs reaches more than 190,000. Invest and start construction of Industrial Parks with factories: Agricultural supplies, fertilizers, fruit processing, cold storage at the Agricultural Complexes of Snuol, Koun Mom-Cambodia, Attapeu-Laos and Gia Lai-Central Highlands. Estimated consolidated revenue reaches more than 8,340 billion VND.
THACO INDUSTRIES (Mechanical manufacturing and supporting industry): with a production and business strategy in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Supporting Industry, with a concentrated, large-scale, regional production model. In 2024, we have focused on developing business in potential export markets, gradually participating deeply in the global supply chain. Up to now, we have exported to 20 countries around the world and have penetrated many potential markets such as: Denmark, New Zealand, UK, ... and focused on large markets such as North America (including the US, Canada, Mexico), Australia, Korea. Total revenue in 2024 will reach more than 10,700 billion VND, export revenue will reach 128 million USD.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of THACO Group Tran Ba Duong proposed a number of policy mechanisms to remove difficulties for the group in investment, construction, and production and business development.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his joy at his visit to THACO Chu Lai and witnessed with his own eyes that the Group has many new projects, more products, higher quality, higher localization rate, lower prices, better product competitiveness, thanks to innovation and application of science and technology; highly appreciated that few enterprises like THACO have a Research and Development Center (R&D); revenue and export turnover are increasing, contributing significantly to the budget of Quang Nam province, solving jobs, contributing to promoting the development of industry and logistics; doing a good job in social security.

In the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes that THACO Group will be a pioneer in innovation and improvement of business operations; accelerate with the country's development, therefore THACO must achieve a growth rate of 12-15% this year; be comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable in development; be active in digital transformation, green transformation, and creative economy; develop "green, clean, and beautiful", ensure environmental sanitation and labor safety; continue to be active in social security work.

The Prime Minister agreed in principle with THACO's proposals for investment, development and expansion of the complex in Chu Lai, and assigned the Ministry of Transport to urgently complete procedures for the Group; the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to complete procedures to ensure compliance with the law, transparency, and anti-negativity and waste. The authorities must go deep, closely monitor, urge and supervise THACO in the investment and development process; all for the benefit of the country and the people.
The Prime Minister requested THACO to conduct research to produce high-speed railway cars to serve the investment in the future North-South high-speed railway line; actively transfer technology in this field.
