On January 9, in Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam coordinated with the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Laos and relevant ministries and branches to organize the Vietnam - Laos Investment Cooperation Conference 2025 with the theme "Promoting sustainable development and prosperity together". Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of THACO's Board of Directors attended the program.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone co-chaired the conference. This is the opening event of 2025 for the two governments, conveying a strong message and determination to enhance the effectiveness of Vietnam-Laos economic, trade and investment cooperation in 2025 and the following period.
At the conference, representatives of large enterprises of the two countries presented reports on the investment cooperation situation of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos; new directions in bilateral investment cooperation; mechanisms and policies to attract foreign investment in Laos. Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of THACO presented a report on the strategy and plan for large-scale agricultural investment and development in Attapeu and Sekong provinces, especially emphasizing the investment in the Industrial Park and Logistics Center of Nam Lao Agricultural Investment & Production and Business Company Limited in the period from 2025-2028.
Within the framework of the Conference (taking place from January 8-10), HAGL AGRICO Laos (under THACO AGRI) displayed a booth introducing models of technical traffic infrastructure works, works on land; reported on large-scale integrated and circular agricultural production and business activities; displayed fruit products such as bananas, grapefruits... This is an opportunity for HAGL AGRICO Laos to promote its image and agricultural products to partners, investors, businesses and consumers, thereby expanding cooperation and developing production scale in the Lao market.
