Leaders of EVN and EVNNPT have continuously worked and conducted field surveys at steel pole manufacturing units for the 500 kV Line 3 Project to speed up progress as it has entered the final stage.
On April 9, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) Dang Hoang An inspected the steel pole manufacturing factory of Viet Vuong Joint Stock Company in Hung Yen and Phu Tho provinces to urge the progress of steel pole production for the 500kV Line 3 Circuit Project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).

Leaders of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT); the Northern and Central Power Project Management Board (under EVNNPT) also joined the working delegation.
Viet Vuong Joint Stock Company said that identifying the urgent and important nature of the project, the Company has been putting all its efforts and maximum effort to provide steel columns for the projects, despite difficulties and challenges in production activities and mobilizing financial resources.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Deputy General Director of Viet Vuong Joint Stock Company, recently, the unit has encountered certain difficulties, so it has not been able to meet the schedule of supplying steel columns in batches as signed with the investor.

However, with the maximum support and drastic participation of EVN and EVNNPT, the difficulties have been resolved. Currently, the unit has imported enough steel and mobilized a lot of human resources and machinery to 2 factories. The company is determined to ensure the progress of supplying steel columns, in which the last steel column will be delivered to the foundation position no later than May 15, 2024.
Talking to contractors, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN Dang Hoang An emphasized the urgency and importance of the 500 kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach to Pho Noi, to ensure power supply to the North next summer.
With the current labor situation at the factory, EVN and EVNNPT fully trust that contractor Viet Vuong can meet the schedule of supplying steel poles for the 500kV line project, circuit 3.
- There are 75 steel column supply packages, implemented by 31 contractors.
- Total steel mass is 137,183 tons to produce 1,177 columns.
Previously, on April 8, Mr. Dang Hoang An also inspected and supervised the production of steel columns at Ngai Cau Investment, Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company, Bac Ninh province.

Ngai Cau contractor said that it has imported enough raw materials, arranged workers to produce day and night, and invested in production machinery to meet the delivery schedule for the investor until April 30.
At Viet A Industrial Trading Group Joint Stock Company, Hung Yen province, EVN leaders listened to reports on production progress, difficulties encountered by contractors and directly resolved obstacles, supported the mobilization of resources, and helped contractors improve production capacity to speed up the delivery of 40 columns for the project.
The delegation inspected the production situation at the Sao Viet Linh contractor's factory in Bac Ninh province. This is the unit responsible for supplying 14 500 kV transmission lines. The unit said it has prepared enough fuel for production, and is currently delivering goods basically meeting the schedule.

At the Factory of the Electrical Construction and Trading Mechanical Joint Stock Company 4, Me Linh District, Hanoi City; the EVN delegation noted the urgent working atmosphere, determined to strive with the investor to complete the 500kV circuit 3 project as planned. EVN leaders requested the unit to continue promoting the spirit of production competition, completing and exceeding the set steel pole production schedule.
On April 4, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN also worked with Song Da 11 Joint Stock Company to inspect and urge the progress of steel pole production.
A representative of Song Da 11 Joint Stock Company said that identifying the 500 kV Circuit 3 Project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi as a national key project, Song Da 11 is currently working hard, making maximum efforts, continuously constructing on holidays, and will work through the upcoming holidays.
At the same time, the Company also urges subcontractors and factories to increase production capacity; actively works and urges overseas manufacturers... to speed up the progress of handing over steel columns to the construction site.
EVN leaders also requested that units need to speed up the progress further, handing over poles to the construction site as soon as production is completed, not letting the foundation wait for poles, affecting the overall progress of the entire project.
Sharing the difficulties, hardships and pressures of contractors participating in the 500kV Transmission Line 3 Project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN requested contractors to make maximum efforts, focus resources, and be determined to overcome difficulties to join hands with the investor and complete the project on schedule assigned by the Prime Minister.
The North and Central regions are entering the hot season; especially in May and June when the heat is at its peak, the work of erecting poles and pulling wires will encounter many difficulties. Therefore, steel pole manufacturers need to provide steel poles to the construction site as soon as possible and no later than May 15, 2024, so that contractors can carry out the work of erecting poles and pulling wires, ensuring the overall progress of the entire project, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN requested.

- Electrical Construction and Trading Mechanical Joint Stock Company 4: Undertaking to supply 39 columns, equivalent to 3,891 tons of steel.
- Ngai Cau Construction Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company: Undertaking to supply 18 columns, equivalent to 1,877 tons of steel.
- Sao Viet Linh Production and Trading Company Limited: Undertaking to supply 14 columns, equivalent to 2,283 tons of steel.
- Song Da 11 Joint Stock Company (including joint venture contract): Undertakes the supply of 156 columns, equivalent to 19,837 tons of steel.
- Viet Vuong Joint Stock Company (including joint venture contract): Undertakes the supply of 100 columns, equivalent to 14,119 tons of steel.
