Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 has just announced its university enrollment plan for 2025, with a total of 4,131 quotas for 26 training majors, more than double the total quota compared to last year (1,959 quotas for 26 training majors).
The school uses 10 admission methods including: Considering high school graduation exam results; considering high school graduation exam scores combined with aptitude test scores; considering admission based on independent exam results of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2; considering admission using independent exam results of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 combined with aptitude test scores;
Consider academic records; consider academic records combined with aptitude test scores; consider admission using the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi National University; Ho Chi Minh City National University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; consider admission using the results of the competency assessment exam combined with aptitude test scores.
In addition, the school also considers direct admission and priority admission; considers transfer of students who have completed the university preparatory program, considers consular admission, and considers international students under agreements or outside agreements.
With the method of considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school stipulates that candidates are exempted from taking the Foreign Language exam (English, Chinese) in the high school graduation exam according to the Regulations on high school graduation exams issued with Circular No. 24/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training. The scores of the English and Chinese subjects in the admission combination are calculated according to the following conversion table:

With the method of considering academic records, to register for admission to the teacher training group (except for physical education), candidates must have an average score of at least 8.0 for the subjects in the registered admission group; good/excellent academic performance in grade 12 or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher.
Candidates using high school academic results to apply for admission to the Physical Education major must have an average score of at least 6.5 for the subjects in the admission group; Grade 12 academic results/performance must be classified as Good or higher, or high school graduation score must be 6.5 or higher.
If considering the results of the capacity assessment, for the Physical Education major, the 12th grade learning results/performance are classified as Good or higher or the high school graduation score is 6.5 or higher. For majors in the teacher training group (except for Physical Education): the 12th grade learning results/performance are classified as Excellent/Good or the high school graduation score is 8.0 or higher...
In 2024, the benchmark score of Hanoi National University of Education 2 ranges from 15.35 to 28.83 points. Of which, the majors of Literature Pedagogy and History Pedagogy have the highest benchmark score, both at 28.83 points.
2025 is the first year that Hanoi National University of Education 2 organizes an independent entrance exam for full-time university admission with 8 subjects, including Math, Literature, Biology, English, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry. The exam is scheduled to take place on June 1, at the school and some high schools in Vinh Phuc province. Candidates can register from April 1 to May 4, 2025.
Thus, currently, there are 3 Pedagogical universities nationwide that organize their own exams: Hanoi Pedagogical University, Pedagogical University 2 and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.
Up to now, there are nearly 100 universities announcing admission based on high school academic results (transcripts) in 2025.
