Strengthening inspection, examination and handling of violations in mineral exploitation activities in Dai Loc district

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requested the People's Committees of Dai Loc and Duy Xuyen districts to continue directing the functional departments to coordinate with the local Tax authorities to organize inspections of mineral exploitation and transportation activities of all mineral exploitation units in the district, including units exploiting sand and gravel for common construction materials; in case of detecting violations of the provisions of law and granted mineral exploitation licenses such as: exploitation outside the location, mine boundary, exceeding the prescribed time frame, exploitation exceeding the license capacity; failure to maintain the operation of weighing stations, camera surveillance systems, incomplete books, invoices, purchase and sale documents; declaring tax payment and financial obligations arising from mineral exploitation and business activities that do not match the output of exploited and sold minerals, then strictly punish according to regulations; report the results of inspection and handling to the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Natural Resources and Environment (TN&MT) for monitoring and direction.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Tax Department to direct professional departments and regional Tax Branches to organize inspections and checks on compliance with the law on declaration, payment of taxes, fees and revenues related to mineral exploitation activities of mineral exploitation enterprises in the province; including sand and gravel exploitation in the districts of Dai Loc and Duy Xuyen; check camera data, weighing stations and related books, invoices and documents, compare the volume of minerals exploited and declared, and pay taxes.

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province also assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Provincial Inspectorate to develop a plan and organize periodic inspections of compliance with legal regulations by mineral exploitation units in the province and conduct surprise inspections of units showing signs of violations, including sand and gravel exploitation units operating in Dai Loc and Duy Xuyen districts that have been reported by the press in the past; strictly handle violations according to regulations and publicly post information on the handling results on the electronic information pages of the province and the agency; in case of recurrence of violations, propose competent authorities to suspend operations or revoke, and not resolve the extension of licenses.
