Warm program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen"

The program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" was recently organized by Squadron 102 under the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 at Tan Thuan fishing port, Ngu Thuy Bac commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

The program took place on April 11, as part of a coordinated propaganda plan between the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 and the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, with many practical activities of political and social significance, contributing to consolidating the people's hearts and minds, building a strong political base from strategic coastal areas.

Within the framework of the program, Squadron 102 distributed leaflets and documents to disseminate laws on preventing illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard; fishermen's handbooks and legal publications related to sovereignty, security and safety of seas and islands.

On this occasion, Squadron 102 presented 100 national flags, dozens of personal life jackets and 50 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) to fishing households in difficult circumstances. The working group of Squadron 102 also visited and presented gifts to policy families in Ngu Thuy Bac commune, demonstrating the affection, responsibility and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of officers and soldiers of Squadron 102.

The program "Coast Guards accompany fishermen" is an effective model of mass mobilization work, bearing the unique identity of the Vietnam Coast Guard. In the coming time, Squadron 102 will continue to closely coordinate with coastal localities to propagate and mobilize people to strictly comply with the law, and accompany the functional forces to firmly protect sovereignty, security and safety on the sacred seas and islands of the Fatherland.
