On November 15, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced that Thanh Hoa City Police had just issued a decision to temporarily detain Vu Huy Hoang (born in 1989, residing in Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province) to investigate and clarify the act of resisting a person on duty.

According to the police agency, previously, at around 00:25 on November 13, a working group of the Thanh Hoa City Traffic Police force consisting of 3 officers and soldiers led by Major Le Hong Quan while on patrol to ensure security, order and handle traffic safety violations on Le Loi Avenue (Thanh Hoa City) discovered a car with license plate number: 36C-263.XX driven by Vu Huy Hoang.

When approaching the working group of the Thanh Hoa City Traffic Police, Vu Huy Hoang stopped the car and drove backwards. Seeing signs of violation, the working group of the Thanh Hoa City Traffic Police signaled the driver to stop the car for an administrative check.

However, at this time, Hoang not only did not comply with the traffic police's orders but also continued to drive the car backwards and crashed into a motorbike behind, pushing the car back about 30m.

Seeing a traffic collision, the Thanh Hoa City Traffic Police asked the driver to stop the vehicle for inspection and resolution, but Hoang did not comply and continued to drive away, crashing into the working group's motorbike. After that, Hoang continuously drove the vehicle in reverse on the road, causing danger and colliding with a series of other vehicles parked on the side of the road.

During the escape, Hoang drove the car at high speed, continuously crashing and severely damaging 2 motorbikes and 9 cars, including 1 motorbike that the task force requisitioned from the people to chase.

When he arrived at Trinh Kiem Street (Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City), Hoang was controlled and arrested by the police. The result of Hoang's alcohol concentration test was 0.77 mg/liter of breath.

Currently, Thanh Hoa City Police are continuing to collect evidence to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant Vu Huy Hoang.
