In the face of storms and floods in the northern provinces, many major cultural and artistic activities organized by units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities have announced cancellations and postponements.
Along with the 14th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival, which was proactively postponed by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival, organized by the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts in coordination with Ninh Binh Province, scheduled to open on September 13, has been announced to be postponed.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a document on postponing the opening ceremony of the National Music and Dance Festival - Phase 1 - 2024, and has also issued a document on postponing the organization of the Conference and seminar on policy communication in law-making.
Recently, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center announced the temporary suspension of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 program on September 14-15.
The exchange program "Vietnamese History - From Lives" of Kim Dong Publishing House, originally scheduled to take place on the morning of September 15, will be postponed one week, to September 22.
Before the scheduled opening on September 13, the exhibition "From Doraemon to Doraemon: 30 years of the robot cat's journey in Vietnam" has just been announced by the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts to be canceled, in order to express sympathy for the losses and damages that people in the northern provinces are suffering.
In Tuyen Quang, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 4098 on stopping the organization of the Festival of Performing Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2024.

In order to sympathize and share the pain, loss and difficulties of the people in the North due to storms and floods, Thua Thien Hue province has temporarily postponed all festival programs and events scheduled to be held on this occasion.
Accordingly, the Hue International Lantern Festival 2024, the Street Lantern Festival, the "Linh Phung" Ao Dai Festival and the art program "Autumn for Children" scheduled to be held by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center from September 16 to 19 will also be postponed.
In Ninh Binh province, Trang An Eco-tourism Area has temporarily suspended entertainment activities for the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival. In addition, the boat crew of Trang An Eco-tourism Area has sent 300 million VND to share with people in flood-affected areas.
