(QBĐT) - On the morning of February 21, the Government held an online conference with localities to implement the conclusions of the Central Committee, resolutions of the National Assembly and the Government on economic growth and promoting disbursement of public investment capital in 2025. Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers co-chaired the conference.
Attending at the Quang Binh bridge point were comrades: Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Hai Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, units and localities.

Over the past years, our country has steadily overcome difficulties and challenges, becoming a bright spot in terms of growth and macroeconomic stability in the world. The Government has flexibly, promptly, effectively and creatively managed solutions and policies to proactively adapt to the situation, supporting the economy to recover quickly from the impact of natural disasters, epidemics, etc. In 2024, Vietnam will achieve and exceed 15/15 main targets; growth is estimated at 7.09%, among the world's leading groups. People and businesses believe in the prospects of the economy, which is an important driving force for growth in the coming time.
Based on the reality and development requirements, the Government has proactively strived and submitted to the Party Central Committee and the National Assembly to issue conclusions and resolutions adjusting the growth target for 2025 to reach 8% or more. Fast growth but must be sustainable, ensuring macroeconomic stability, major balances of the economy, controlling inflation and improving people's lives, protecting the environment...

The Government has issued Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP and No. 25/NQ-CP, identifying 12 key targets for industries and sectors in 2025; requiring localities to achieve breakthrough growth of 8% or more, in which Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and leading localities need to achieve growth higher than the national average.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing the achievements, shortcomings, and difficulties and proposed solutions to ensure the national growth target in 2025.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the coming period is a crucial period to bring our country into a new era. Therefore, in 2025, we must do a lot of things, including increasing GDP growth by at least 8% to create momentum, position, and strength for double-digit growth in the coming years. This is an especially important but also very difficult task, requiring the drastic, synchronous, joint efforts and consensus of the entire political system, business community, and people of the whole country.
The Prime Minister directed ministries, branches and localities to continue to comprehensively and effectively implement the resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the National Assembly and the Government; grasp the situation, proactively take solutions with the spirit of turning all difficulties and challenges into breakthrough opportunities, with high determination, great efforts and drastic actions to strongly promote and renew growth drivers. In particular, it is necessary to focus on removing obstacles for businesses, promoting growth through administrative reform, investment support, and implementing breakthrough policy mechanisms.

The Prime Minister requested to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, improve institutions, amend inappropriate legal regulations; at the same time, urgently implement key investment programs; boost exports, attract private investment and FDI, develop science and technology, digital transformation, improve the quality of human resources, promote new growth drivers, especially in the fields of high technology and renewable energy.
He noted that in the implementation, it is necessary to strengthen information and propaganda work, especially policy communication, to contribute to creating social consensus, strengthening trust, inspiring, and creating new momentum for development.
