The Korean team fielded their strongest lineup against the Vietnamese team. Goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo started. The defense was led by center-back Kim Min-jae - a player who is playing impressively for Bayern Munich.
The Korean team's attack line is full of big stars such as Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Lee Kang-in (PSG) and Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton). This is the match where coach Jurgen Klinsmann tested the attack line with both Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in. It is likely that the Korean team will play with a 4-2-3-1 formation and Hwang In-beom will be the player who has to sacrifice his position when Lee Kang-in joins.
In the center forward position, coach Jurgen Klinsmann put his trust in striker Cho Gue-sung - who scored at the 2022 World Cup. On the bench, the German coach still has other stars such as Moon Seon-min or Kim Tae-hwan.

Meanwhile, Coach Troussier has hardly made any notable experiments. He also used the strongest possible lineup of the Vietnamese team at the moment. Dang Van Lam is the goal keeper. Above him are the central defenders Phan Tuan Tai, Bui Hoang Viet Anh and Do Duy Manh. The left back is Vo Minh Trong, the right back is Truong Tien Anh.
In the midfield, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Do Hung Dung are still the central midfielders tasked with defending from a distance as well as developing the ball for the Vietnamese team. Coach Troussier continues to trust Nguyen Dinh Bac and does not choose Nguyen Van Toan as the main player. The U23 player and Pham Tuan Hai are the two wingers of the Vietnamese team.
The remaining position is Nguyen Hoang Duc. Coach Troussier often lets this player play as a center forward in the 3-4-3 formation, but he is not the spearhead of the Vietnamese team's attack and will often move back to the back line. The Vietnamese team can play with a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formation depending on the actual conditions on the field.
Determined to get points, but getting a good result against the Korean team is not an easy task for coach Troussier and his team. The Vietnamese team probably has to focus all their resources on defense before thinking about scoring a goal.
