The Department of Health recently had a working session with Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy to survey the need for training medical human resources.

Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy is a university specializing in Health Sciences, established in 1968, with the mission of training human resources in the health sciences sector; researching and transferring science and technology; providing services and products for the purpose of caring for and protecting people's health. In recent years, the school has continued to innovate university training under the autonomous mechanism; implementing new training programs for students, innovating content and teaching methods to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The school has opened more postgraduate majors, and completed enrollment with the largest number of students ever with more than 1,600 students, including 130 international students from the Lao PDR and the Kingdom of Cambodia. In Ha Giang since 2007, the Provincial People's Committee has sent 175 students admitted to the provincial training system to participate in training at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. After graduating, students are assigned to work at medical units in the province according to their expertise and job positions to supplement the current shortage of human resources, meeting the requirements of the medical sector. After graduation, students are highly appreciated for their expertise and professional qualities. Doctors, pharmacists, and medical staff trained at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy have promoted medical ethics, quickly integrated into the working environment, approached and applied knowledge to medical examination and treatment effectively, and promoted their role in public health care. In the coming time, the Department of Health proposed that Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy arrange enrollment quotas in the form of special training from General Practitioner to General Practitioner for Ha Giang province.
At the working session, the delegation of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Department of Health discussed and shared contents to strengthen coordination to effectively implement training work, improve the quality of medical human resources, contributing to the good performance of the task of caring for and protecting people's health.
