TPO - Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just issued a plan to organize the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" in educational institutions.
The launching ceremony of “Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho” in the year of the Snake will be held by the Department of Education and Training on January 6 at the campus of An Duong Vuong Secondary School, Dong Anh District.
Previously, the Department of Education and Training had a plan to plant trees in educational institutions during Tet, creating a vibrant, exciting, and joyful competitive atmosphere throughout the city in the early days of spring, laying the foundation for the city's development in the new year and the 2026-2031 period.
The plan aims to implement the Project: "Planting one billion trees in the period of 2021-2025"; restore the system of trees broken and fallen by storm No. 3 in 2024 throughout the city.

At the same time, launching the tree planting movement also aims to raise the sense of responsibility of cadres, teachers, employees and students in educational institutions in the city about the role, effects and value of forests and tree planting and afforestation in socio-economic development, protecting the ecological environment, preserving natural landscapes, contributing to mitigating natural disasters and adapting to climate change.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires that educational institutions organize activities in response to the "Tet tree planting" in a practical, effective, solemn, unobtrusive, wasteful, and formal manner; with the active participation of cadres, teachers, staff, parents, and students of the unit, thereby making profound and comprehensive changes in awareness, attitudes, and behaviors toward the environment, creating environmentally friendly behaviors.
Hanoi guides that, based on practical conditions, units proactively select and plant new trees suitable for the landscape and natural conditions such as: Sau, Royal Poinciana, Lagerstroemia, Camphor, Canarium, Fat, Northwest Ban flowers...
Units have plans to strictly manage the number of trees planted in the campus, organize and mobilize cadres, teachers, staff and students to actively participate in and respond to the movement, and take care of and protect trees in schools and in the locality.
