Students discover potential through personal branding competition

How to discover one's own potential and thereby develop a unique "self" among the "common" things of the world? Nearly 100 students sought the answer in a competition on personal branding.


After 2 months of competition, the 12 best contestants of the YOUBRANDING 2024 personal branding competition with the theme "Mix your color" have been selected to participate in the final round taking place tomorrow evening, December 26.

This academic playground was organized by the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, attracting nearly 100 contestants from units such as the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, University of Finance and Marketing, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking, Van Lang University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance.

Master Huynh Tu Anh, Deputy Head of the Marketing Department, University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, said that after the semi-final round with 40 contestants competing on December 14, the top 12 outstanding faces of the university entrance exam had an online training session with the topic "Building a brand strategy" before entering the final round.

Candidates are trained before attending the final round of the personal branding competition.

The final night with the theme Bring your color, each contestant will have 3 minutes to present in front of 50 judges from universities and businesses and 4 minutes to receive critical questions about a personal project named after themselves with full in-depth analysis of market research, positioning, segmentation...

Along with that are indispensable aspects of branding such as brand proposition, brand guidelines, brand name, brand character...

"By participating in the contest, students have gone through a journey of self-discovery of their own potential and from there developed their own unique "bowl" among the "common" things of the world. They learned knowledge and experience from many experts from universities and businesses about building personal brands," said Master Tu Anh.
