Taking to Twitter, developer Sabotage Studio announced that Sea of Stars sold 100,000 copies across all platforms on its first day of release. That's an impressive number, and it could have been doubled if you factor in the fact that the role-playing game is also being offered for free to Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus Extra, and Premium subscribers.
First announced in 2020 during its Kickstarter campaign, Sea of Stars has consistently impressed with subsequent developer presentations. The game has already generated quite a bit of buzz ahead of its launch. The RPG is set in the same universe as Sabotage Studio's previous game The Messenger .
Sea of Stars is currently available on platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and has also been verified on Steam Deck. The developer has also announced that the upcoming game will have a physical disc version in early 2024.
