More than 14 km of Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway from Dong Nai to Long An is expected to be put into operation during the April 30 holiday, increasing the total length of the exploited route to more than 33 km.
The Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway construction project is a national key project on the North - South Expressway axis, with a total length of 58 km, passing through 3 provinces and cities: Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, with a total investment capital of nearly 30,000 billion VND in phase 1.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the western section of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway (18.8 km long from the Le Kha Phieu - old National Highway 1A intersection) to Nguyen Van Tao (Nha Be district) is expected to be completed and put into operation on April 30.
Previously, the first and last sections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway were put into operation. Specifically, the two sections put into operation on January 23 include: Km0+600 - Km3+420 (from Trung Luong intersection to National Highway 1A intersection, Long An province) and Km50+300 - Km57+700 (from Phuoc An intersection to National Highway 51 intersection, Dong Nai province).
