This year, the Galaxy S24 series launched on January 18, 2024 (Vietnam time), nearly a month earlier than usual, focusing on upgrading connectivity, creativity and entertainment by integrating deep artificial intelligence (AI) on the phone.
Although there are not many changes in appearance, Samsung has introduced a series of new features on the new product line such as live translation on calls, smart text suggestion assistant, multi-purpose search area, converting audio files into text as well as summarizing content and a series of other useful features integrated with AI.
This year's Galaxy S24 trio focuses on core changes, with no significant upgrades in appearance.
Galaxy S24 Ultra - the most advanced model of Galaxy S this year is equipped with a Titanium frame, upgraded multi-angle shooting quality with a 200 MP camera, 50 MP zoom 5X, supports 5X zoom when recording AI night video with OIS and AI VDIS anti-shake. Overall, the trio of smartphones continues to upgrade the zoom capability when recording video and taking photos in many environments, combined with the ability to intelligently edit photos with many tasks similar to the Photoshop application. In addition, this year's Galaxy S24 series has a design inspired by precious minerals from nature, with 4 colors: Black, Gray, Gold and Purple.
The official price of the Galaxy S24 series is listed by authorized dealers in Vietnam from 22.99 million VND for the 256 GB S24 version. The Galaxy S24 Plus model is priced at 26.99 million VND and 30.49 million VND for the 256 GB and 512 GB versions, respectively. The highest-end model, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, will have 3 versions, priced at 33.99 million VND, 37.49 million VND and 44.49 million VND for the 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB capacities, respectively. This price does not include promotions and gifts at retail systems.
Ms. Phung Phuong, representative of Mobile World Media, commented that Galaxy S24 brings a new color to the market, and its launch before Lunar New Year will create great attraction in Vietnam.
" Focusing on design, keeping the typical features of Galaxy S, integrating many modern features such as AI translation, Circle to Search... trendy, continuing to upgrade the camera, Galaxy S24 series is expected to attract technology users. Before the official launch, at Di Dong Viet alone, hundreds of customers were interested in the new generation S24. We expect this year's line to have sales growth, expecting a growth rate of one and a half times compared to the previous generation, " Ms. Phuong shared.
Dealers expect the Galaxy S24 series with AI to create a "boost" for the mobile market.
In the Vietnamese market, the pre-order and post-launch periods are always the time periods chosen by many technology users when buying new Galaxy devices. Therefore, dealers believe that this year's Galaxy S24 series is no exception.
Immediately after the launch of the device, from January 18 to January 27, dealers began to open pre-orders for the product with incentives of up to several million VND such as a shopping voucher (3 million VND), a maximum gift of 5 million VND when exchanging an old phone for a new one, a gift of 2 million VND when paying in installments... Along with that are programs such as giving a 1-year CarePlus warranty package, 0% interest installments, giving genuine phone cases... It is expected that the return will start from the end of January 2024 for those who have made a deposit.
Evaluating this year's product, Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy - representative of CellphoneS said: " The Galaxy S24 series does not change much on the outside, but the upgrades to perfect the design, pioneering the equipment of artificial intelligence on mobile... will definitely be a high-end device with huge sales. We aim to increase at least 20% compared to the previous version, which is about 2,000 orders in the first month of sale ."
According to the shopping trends of the past years, the system predicts that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the version that accounts for about 85%, the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 about 15%. With many diverse color versions, the possibility that the most chosen color is up to 50% will be the "hot trend" color of this year.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue, media representative of Viettel Store system, the highlight with the feature on Galaxy AI appearing for the first time will be a major technological breakthrough that users should not ignore.
