Promote infrastructure investment and site clearance

In 2025, Hoa Vang district sets a target of added value (VA) of VND 3,790 billion (up 8.75%), of which agriculture, forestry and fishery will reach VND 459 billion (up 8.77%), industry - construction will reach VND 1,455 billion (up 6.2%), and services will reach VND 1,876 billion (up 10.81%). The district strives to have no poor households according to the city's new standards and create jobs for 1,600 workers.

With the motto of "telling people to understand, making people believe", the district has accelerated the progress of handing over the land for projects in the area. Mr. Phan Van Ton, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district, said that from the beginning of the year, the district identified land clearance as a key task, so it organized a conference to deploy tasks, worked with the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to remove difficulties, and at the same time resolutely carried out compensation, legal review and mobilized people. Thanks to that, the land clearance work in the district has achieved many positive results, especially for key and driving projects such as: Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project; National Highway 14B renovation and upgrade project; Quang Da bridge project and approach road; Western beltway project; Hoa Phong commune administrative center; Hoa Bac commune center resettlement area (phase 2) ...

The Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project in particular received the attention and direction of the Prime Minister, the city and support from Group 888 (support and site clearance team) of the city. The District People's Committee has been flexible and creative in establishing 3 site clearance working groups, each group directly in charge and managed by a leader of the District People's Committee. In 2024, the district handed over the site to 1,172/1,220 files, reaching 96%, of which the main route has been basically completed, ensuring the construction progress for the units.

“With clear orientation and synchronous solutions, Hoa Vang will complete the socio-economic development targets for 2025 and aim to become a town,” Mr. Ton affirmed.

Accelerating urban and economic development

In Hai Chau district, the government focuses on improving the inner-city traffic system, promoting socio-economic development associated with ensuring security and order. Mr. Ha Ngoc Duc, Chief of Office of the District People's Committee, said that the district continues to effectively implement Conclusion No. 60-KL/TU of the City Party Committee on continuing to promote the implementation of Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU dated March 6, 2015 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the direction and tasks for the development of Hai Chau district until 2020 and the following years.

Accordingly, key measures include: increasing budget revenue, developing the night-time economy, promoting non-cash payments, and promoting typical OCOP products. The district also implements policies on land management, urban planning, and implementation of the 2024 Land Law. Accelerating the progress of basic construction projects and preparing for investment for 2025 is being focused on.

Meanwhile, Lien Chieu district focuses on site clearance, developing industrial parks and new urban areas. In 2024, the district's total retail sales and consumer service revenue will increase by 13.5%, with budget revenue exceeding the estimate by 30%. In 2025, the district aims for VA to increase by 8.42%, with total retail revenue reaching VND9,965 billion. To achieve the above target, the district strictly implements the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on preventing budget losses, promoting electronic invoices and coordinating the implementation of key projects such as Lien Chieu port, Hoa Khanh Nam industrial cluster, and Northwest axis I road. Public reception and dialogue work has been enhanced to promptly resolve difficulties in site clearance.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Hoa, Chairman of Lien Chieu District People's Committee, said that the District People's Committee will continue to persistently make recommendations to relevant departments, agencies and branches to promptly advise and report to the City People's Committee to consider and resolve difficulties in site clearance work. In addition, the District Site Clearance Mobilization Committee regularly organizes on-site inspections of each clearance project, thereby promptly grasping the situation, reviewing and resolving citizens' recommendations.

To improve the effectiveness of the mobilization work, the District People's Committee has strengthened close coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, the Ward Party Committee, and socio-political organizations of the district and ward to propagate and mobilize people to comply with the land clearance policy. "For cases that have been fully compensated, in accordance with the prescribed policies but still deliberately do not hand over the land despite being mobilized and explained many times, the authorities will resolutely implement measures to support construction and enforce land recovery according to regulations, to avoid prolonging the situation and affecting the overall progress," said Mr. Hoa.

Meanwhile, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts focus on exploiting their tourism strengths to attract domestic and international visitors. Son Tra district promotes the development of diverse tourism products, upgrades infrastructure, and enhances tourism promotion and advertising. At the same time, local authorities focus on environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and ensuring national security and defense to develop sustainable tourism. Lien Chieu district also promotes the development of Nam O community tourism, building unique tourism products to attract visitors, and at the same time creating more jobs for local people.

Along with economic development, districts in Da Nang are focusing on improving the quality of life of the people. Housing renovation programs for low-income people, upgrading schools and hospitals are being implemented synchronously. With great determination, the authorities and people of districts in Da Nang are joining hands to realize the development goals for 2025. These efforts will create a solid foundation for the city to continue to develop sustainably, affirming its position as the economic and social center of the Central Highlands region.
