According to Mr. Nam, Quy Nhon City People's Committee has directed relevant agencies to continue to complete the official project and direct the allocation of capital and investment portfolio for infrastructure for the walking street.
"The city will build a Quy Nhon walking street plan including 3 streets: Nguyen Thiep, Nguyen Lac - Tran Doc, and Do Doc Bao.
In particular, Nguyen Thiep street connects with Nguyen Tat Thanh square and the beach, which is planned, designed and built with landscape architecture to organize tourism services and events.
Nguyen Lac - Tran Doc street is planned to develop and connect with Ngo Van So culinary street and neighboring areas to form a culinary tourism area.
With Do Doc Bao Street, the city will synchronously decorate the entire length of the green strip along Do Doc Bao Street and Pham Hung Street, arranging an art space combined with commercial services," said Mr. Nam.
The walking street will pay special attention to promoting local intangible cultural heritages: bai choi, ho ba trao, Binh Dinh traditional martial arts, Tay Son battle drums and unique culinary features of Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh.
"Based on the province's policy agreement, the city will complete the project. After completing the project, the city will establish an investment project for the part of the budget capital. The part calling for social investment will be called for after the infrastructure investment.
Currently, the consulting unit is completing the project to report back to the city. After having the project, the city will establish the project and separate the project. The city will try to implement it this year to serve the people and tourists," said Mr. Nam.
