Quang Nam reviews and provides information to compile GDP and GRDP data

Analytical reports and data tables on agriculture, forestry and fisheries, construction industry, and trade and services must be sent to the General Statistics Office no later than May 17, 2024. Other data tables must be completed no later than May 20, 2024.

Departments, branches and sectors (according to their responsibilities) assess the advantages and difficulties, analyze the objective and subjective causes affecting the socio-economic development situation in the area in the second quarter and the first 6 months of 2024. Departments, branches and sectors are responsible for closely coordinating with the General Statistics Office in providing the most standard input data according to the sectors and fields under their responsibility.

According to data released by the General Statistics Office, Quang Nam's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the first quarter of 2024 decreased by 3.1% compared to the same period in 2023. This negative growth rate is somewhat improved compared to previous quarters but recovers slowly.

In the overall growth of the economy, the growth rate of added value (VA) in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.2%, the industry - construction sector decreased by 8.1%, the service sector increased by 3.3% and product taxes minus product subsidies decreased by 7.6%.

The scale of the economy reached more than 26,200 billion VND (at current prices) with the following GRDP structure: the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 12.2%; the industry - construction sector accounted for 28.1%; the service sector accounted for 37.7% and product taxes minus product subsidies accounted for 22%.

Compared to 63 provinces and cities nationwide, Quang Nam has the 32nd lowest growth rate and ranks 29th/63 in terms of GRDP scale. Compared to 5 key economic provinces in the Central region and 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast, it has the lowest growth rate and ranks 4th/5 provinces and 8th/14 provinces in terms of economic scale.
