According to a quick report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, the fire at Pho Quang pagoda (Xuan Lung commune, Lam Thao district, Phu Tho) on the morning of October 23 caused about 25 billion VND in damage.
Specifically, at the Tam Bao Palace, all the wooden parts, the hidden tile roof, and the electrical system were burned down, the system of clay and wooden statues in the Tam Bao Palace were damaged by heat, and the facilities in the temple were completely damaged.

Previously, at around 9:45 a.m. on October 23, people discovered a fire at Pho Quang Pagoda (also known as Xuan Lung Pagoda) in Zone 4, Xuan Lung Commune, Lam Thao District, Phu Tho Province.
Immediately after receiving the news, the People's Committee of Xuan Lung commune notified and mobilized forces and people to respond.
Speaking to Giao thong Newspaper, a leader of Lam Thao District People's Committee said that Lam Thao District People's Committee is taking inventory of the damage and will report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism because this is a national monument. For now, security forces are protecting the scene to serve the investigation into the cause of the fire.
Sharing with Giao Thong Newspaper, Ms. Phung Thi Phuong Loan, Chairman of Xuan Lung Commune People's Committee, also said that this afternoon, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will come to the scene to assess the damage.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and control information on newspapers, radio and social networking sites to avoid spreading false news and causing confusion in public opinion.
At the same time, continue to review and count the damage caused by the fire; propose a plan to restore and embellish Pho Quang Pagoda, focus on investment, balance budget resources and actively mobilize social resources to carry out the restoration and embellishment of the relic as soon as possible, meeting the religious needs of the people.
Strengthen the implementation of measures to protect national treasures; research and propose plans to preserve and protect the national treasure, the stone Buddhist altar.
