Mr. Dinh Van Phuc - Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion under the Department of Industry and Trade said that this year, 12/18 district-level localities and 61 establishments participated with 74 products, an increase of 7 products compared to 2023.
Of which, 30 products belong to the handicraft group (raw materials from wood, rattan, bamboo, leaves, sedge, water hyacinth, soil, stone, metal, various fibers, agricultural products); 44 products belong to the group of preserving and processing agricultural, forestry, aquatic products and beverages (raw materials are mainly produced from agricultural, forestry and aquatic products).
Through evaluation, out of 74 competing products, 68 products met the standards; 6 products did not meet the standards due to many factors such as: Insufficient profile components, unclear product labels, incorrect product uses and users, and no certification from competent authorities.
Based on the voting results, the Chairman of the Voting Council shall submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee a decision to recognize and grant a certificate of typical rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2024.
The Council also unanimously selected 20 outstanding products (10 handicraft products and 10 agricultural, forestry and fishery processing products) out of a total of 68 qualified products to rank and award prizes. Specifically, there were 2 A prizes (5 million VND/prize), 4 B prizes (3 million VND/prize), 6 C prizes (1.5 million VND/prize) and 8 Encouragement prizes (500 thousand VND/prize).
Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh highly appreciated the products participating in this voting. Many products demonstrate the creativity and innovation of businesses and production facilities.
