Phu Yen approves planning for the most important route of Tuy Hoa City
According to the detailed planning of Doc Lap route, the land fund of administrative agencies is adjusted to commercial, service and tourism land to increase land use efficiency, maximize space, architecture and landscape of the coastal area.

The People's Committee of Phu Yen province has just approved the Project to adjust the detailed planning of Doc Lap road, Tuy Hoa city - scale 1/2,000 (now the zoning plan). The scope of the planning study boundary is in the coastal area along Doc Lap road, in Ward 6, Ward 7, Binh Kien commune and An Phu commune, Tuy Hoa city with a planning area of about 492 hectares.
According to the approved planning, Doc Lap Street is an area that concentrates commercial, service and coastal tourism projects in Tuy Hoa City; it plays a role in promoting the urban economy of Tuy Hoa City to develop strongly towards the sea. In addition, the area has conditions to develop residential areas (in the northern area) and invest in urban infrastructure to contribute to promoting the urbanization process of the city.
The estimated population is about 12,000 people, the tourist population is 15,000 people. In the total planning area of nearly 492 hectares, the service area is planned for 227.83 hectares (accounting for more than 46%), followed by more than 80 hectares of traffic roads, more than 64 hectares of public green trees...
According to the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, the organization of space, architecture, landscape, and urban space structure is clearly divided into layers, from coastal green spaces to sandy beaches, forming public spaces such as beaches, sea squares, places to organize cultural, sports, tourism events... and commercial, service, tourism, and coastal urban areas.
Accordingly, the planning area is divided into 3 segments, to facilitate spatial orientation and establish coastal activities.
In which, segment 1 (from the South of the Nordic International Tourist Village Project to the North of the renovated residential area) is the existing village renovated and embellished into a tourist destination, experiencing local culture, organizing the Doc Lap route extending to Bai Xep, oriented as a coastal landscape road serving walking, cycling and environmentally friendly vehicles, meeting the needs of people and tourists to access the sea and enjoy the sea space.
Phase 2 (from the South of the Nordic International Tourist Village Project to the North of Tran Phu Street) is oriented to develop and create international-class hotel and resort subdivisions.
Segment 3 (from the south of Tran Phu Street to the north of Tran Hung Dao Street) with the potential of administrative land fund is adjusted into commercial, service and tourism land to increase land use efficiency, maximize space, architecture and landscape of the coastal area.

In addition, in the planning area, public, commercial and service works are allowed to build a maximum of 3 basements and 1 semi-basement.
Notably, Nguyen Huu Tho Street (from Le Duan Street to Doc Lap Street) is oriented to be expanded to 60m; organizing a cluster of high-rise buildings as a highlight for the urban area, acting as an identification point with a view from afar, Nghinh Phong Tower plays a role as a highlight when moving closer to the sea.
In Doc Lap Street area, the residential area has a maximum of 7 floors, while the existing residential area to the North of the planning area has a maximum of 5 floors; for public, commercial and service works, the height is 40 floors or less.
Regarding the planning of Doc Lap route, in June 2023, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan, Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee, stated that Doc Lap route located on the North-South axis, close to the coast, is the most important route of Tuy Hoa City, connecting with a number of main roads in the East-West direction (Nguyen Huu Tho street, road number 14, Tran Phu street...).
This route has great potential and advantages, has added value, connecting the natural landscape of Tuy Hoa city such as Chop Chai mountain in the West, Ba river in the South and the beach in the East... At the same time, it is the core of the urban center of Tuy Hoa city...
