On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, Hoa Binh province plans to support and give gifts to 46,926 poor and near-poor households with a total cost of more than 20 billion VND, of which 20,306 poor households will be supported with 500,000 VND/household.
Regarding the activities of visiting and giving gifts to people with meritorious services, the province organized the awarding of 18,977 gifts from the President and localities to people with meritorious services with a total cost of more than 5.7 billion VND.
For workers and laborers, provincial trade unions at all levels have presented about 6,500 gifts worth over 4.5 billion VND to union members and workers.

Speaking to the people, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister sent his best wishes for a new year of good health, joy, family happiness, and new victories.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang shared that in 2023, the country overcame many difficulties and challenges to achieve very positive results, contributing to creating resources to effectively implement social security policies.
Regarding Hoa Binh, the Deputy Prime Minister assessed the province as a bright spot in poverty reduction, with the poverty rate decreasing by 3.09% compared to 2022, a very commendable figure that not every locality can achieve.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Hoa Binh province will continue to conserve resources and mobilize businesses and philanthropists to continue doing a good job of caring for people with meritorious services and the disadvantaged.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Hoa Binh province to make efforts to actively implement key transport projects, especially the expressway project connecting with Hanoi, contributing to strongly attracting investors to invest and join hands in building local development.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, what Hoa Binh can do right away is to focus on developing tourism. To do so, it must try to invest in infrastructure connecting with tourist areas and do a good job of communication in many forms. In the process of developing tourism, the attitude of the people, friendliness, hospitality, cultural character, and traditional values need to be focused on preserving and promoting to create unique and special features of local tourism./.
