On the afternoon of August 21, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary and President To Lam chaired the announcement of the Politburo's decisions on the transfer and assignment of officials to hold the positions of Head of the Central Economic Commission and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.

Comrades: Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc; many leaders and representatives of central agencies, departments and branches attended the announcement of the decisions.

Accordingly, in Decision No. 1488-QDNS/TW dated August 16, 2024, the Politburo decided that comrade Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Government Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, ceased to hold the position of member of the Government Party Committee, transferred, assigned, and appointed to hold the position of Head of the Central Economic Committee.

In Decision No. 1489-QDNS/TW dated August 16, 2024, the Politburo decided to transfer, assign, and appoint comrade Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee to hold the position of Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.

General Secretary and President To Lam presented the decision and flowers to congratulate comrades Tran Luu Quang and Mai Van Chinh.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, congratulating the two comrades who have just been entrusted by the Politburo with new tasks, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that the Central Economic Commission and the Central Mass Mobilization Commission are important advisory and support agencies of the Party at the Central level. The timely completion of the Head of the Commission is necessary to ensure the regular and direct leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat over these important areas of work.

General Secretary and President To Lam stated that comrade Tran Luu Quang and comrade Mai Van Chinh are both leaders who received basic training, grew up from the grassroots, held many positions, participated in many Central courses, have a lot of practical experience and experience in consulting, leadership, and direction, and have achieved many important results in the assigned fields.

The General Secretary and President asked Comrade Tran Luu Quang to promote his rich practical work experience, together with the leadership of the Central Economic Commission, to perform well the advisory function in orienting the construction and completion of economic institutions, planning major and important socio-economic policies, guidelines, and measures...

General Secretary and President To Lam suggested that Comrade Mai Van Chinh promote his extensive experience in Party work, together with the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, to perform well the function of advising on major policies and solutions for mass mobilization work, especially issues related to the work of the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, ethnic work, religious work, work to mobilize classes, strata of people and overseas Vietnamese, thereby continuing to firmly consolidate the great national unity bloc to successfully carry out the country's tasks in the current period...

General Secretary and President To Lam hopes and believes that both comrades will continue to make more efforts, try harder, and strive; together with the collective leadership, cadres, and party members of the Central Economic Commission and the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, unite and agree to excellently complete the assigned tasks, worthy of being an important advisory and assisting agency of the Party Central Committee. At the same time, he requested the leaders and cadres of the two agencies to support and help the two new Heads of their agencies to excellently complete the assigned tasks, worthy of the trust, confidence, and responsibility of the Politburo.

The comrades expressed that they always make the greatest efforts to fulfill assigned tasks, actively contributing to maintaining the solidarity, unity, discipline and order of the Party; actively contributing to the leadership and direction of the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang was born on August 30, 1967, Kinh ethnic group; hometown: Trang Bang Ward, Trang Bang Town, Tay Ninh Province; joined the Party on August 2, 1997. Professional qualifications: Master of Public Administration, Mechanical Engineer. Political theory qualifications: Bachelor.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang has 30 years of service, is an alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee, an official member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee. He has held the following positions: Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tay Ninh Province; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City. From January 2023 to present, he has held the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

Comrade Mai Van Chinh, born on January 1, 1961; Kinh ethnicity; hometown: Duc Hoa Dong commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province; joined the Party on March 18, 1987. Professional qualifications: Master of Business Administration, agricultural economics engineer. Political theory qualifications: Advanced.

Comrade Mai Van Chinh has 41 years of working experience, is an alternate member of the 10th Party Central Committee, an official member of the 11th, 12th, and 13th Party Central Committee. He has held the positions of Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee. From February 2015, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee. From June 2021 to present, he has been Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Organization Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies, and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Organization Committee.
