On March 7, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) organized the announcement of the Prime Minister's Decision on the transfer and appointment of Deputy Ministers of MOET and announced the Decisions on the transfer, appointment and reappointment of leaders of units of the MOET.
Attending the announcement ceremony were Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Deputy Ministers of Education and Training: Pham Ngoc Thuong, Nguyen Van Phuc, Hoang Minh Son, Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Le Tan Dung; Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan; leaders of Departments, Bureaus, and units of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 395/QD-TTg dated February 25, 2025 to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training. The above decision takes effect from March 1, 2025.
On March 3, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 543/QD-BGDDT on the assignment of tasks of the Minister and Deputy Ministers.
Accordingly, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung is assigned to be in charge of the following areas: Planning - finance, public investment; school facilities and equipment; socialization of education; sectoral and local planning; flood and storm prevention, natural disasters and climate change; digital transformation, application of information technology in assigned areas.
