Hanoi Old Quarter organizes many activities to celebrate National Day September 2

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day September 2; towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board coordinated with units and individuals to organize many diverse cultural activities and events at locations in the Hanoi Old Quarter area.

The September 2nd holiday is also an occasion to prepare for the Mid-Autumn Festival, so from August 30th, the Organizing Committee will turn the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu Street, Hang Buom Ward) into a space for the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, with lanterns, Mid-Autumn Festival trays and many images of the old Mid-Autumn Festival.

Also here, on September 1, there will be a discussion on "Preserving and promoting the value of traditional Ao Dai - Experiences of the community and managers" to honor the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai, experiences to preserve and promote the value of Ao Dai as a cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, the Old Quarter Heritage Information Center (Quan De Temple - No. 28 Hang Buom Street, Hang Buom Ward) is where the program of experiencing making traditional mid-autumn lanterns and exchanging with artisan Nguyen Van Quyen takes place.

At villa number 49 Tran Hung Dao, Hang Bai ward, the Organizing Committee introduced the art of engraved lacquer paintings with the theme "Heritage Circuit".

60 lacquer carvings, mainly inspired by folk paintings, will bring the public a new perspective on the artists' artistic creations. The program will last until September 3rd and within the framework of the program, there will be an experience of making lacquer carvings on September 1st and 2nd.

There are many attractive outdoor activities in the walking spaces of Hoan Kiem district. The highlight is the cycling parade with the theme "Cycling Parade: Ao Dai Connects Tourism with Hanoi Heritage", taking place on the morning of September 1. The Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter in collaboration with the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club organized a cycling parade through many heritages of Hanoi.

In addition, during holidays, in the walking space of the old quarter, there are many cultural and artistic performances such as: Traditional music performances at Quan Chuong Gate; Van singing performance in front of Bach Ma Temple (76 Hang Buom Street); traditional music performances in front of Quan De Temple (28 Hang Buom Street); traditional Tuong art performances in front of Huong Tuong Temple (64 Ma May Street); traditional musical instrument performances in front of Kim Ngan Communal House (42-44 Hang Bac Street); contemporary folk music performances at Gia Ngu - Hang Be intersection; contemporary music performances at Gia Ngu - Dinh Liet intersection...

In the walking space of Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity, in the evenings there are instrumental music performances in front of the Hoan Kiem Lake Cultural Information Center (No. 2 Le Thai To); traditional folk music performances at the King Le Thai To Monument area... to meet the entertainment needs of the people and attract tourists.
