Hanoi - Along the streets of Hang Ma, Hang Luoc, Hang Khoai, Hang Ruoi... are bustling with people and tourists strolling around and shopping for Tet .
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Hanoi will organize 70 spring flower markets to serve the shopping, sightseeing and entertainment needs of the people. In the middle of Hanoi's Old Quarter, the spring flower market stretches along Hang Luoc, Hang Ma, Hang Khoai, Hang Ruoi, and Phung Hung Mural Street (from Le Van Linh to Hang Cot) in Hang Ma Ward. As Tet approaches, people in the capital are rushing to buy ornamental plants, fresh flowers, artificial flowers, and decorations for their families... Ms. Quynh Hoa (Dong Da, Hanoi) takes advantage of going to Hang Luoc on weekends to have more time to choose: "My family is very passionate about decorating flowers for Tet, so I also spend a lot of time looking for and choosing the most suitable plant model. This year, the types of products are quite diverse." This year, colorful artificial flower trees and branches that are popular with people are imported in large quantities by small traders and sold all over Hang Luoc, Hang Ruoi, and Hang Khoai streets. The price of each flower branch ranges from 15,000 - 30,000 VND/branch, not much different from previous years. This year's kumquat trees have many innovations and many beautiful tree shapes. However, the most popular ones for sale are small potted trees, not many large trees. The price has changed by more than half compared to last year, the potted trees here range from 250,000 - 300,000 VND/small tree and 600,000 - 700,000 VND/large tree. Due to the impact of super typhoon Yagi last September, peach gardens were damaged. Traditional peach varieties such as Nhat Tan peach, Bich peach, and Phai peach decreased in quantity and quality in the 2025 Tet market. The price of each branch ranges from 250,000 - 300,000 VND, quite a bit higher than before. Items such as snow plum, magnolia, kumquat, ornamental flowers... are also popular and sold much more than peach blossoms. Many tourists or locals only go to the market to feel the Tet atmosphere, stop by to see the flowers or take pictures. Some people even wait until closer to Tet to decide to buy in order to get more reasonable prices, making many small traders worried and impatient.
