VN-Index fell more than 7 points, foreign investors net sold for the tenth session

NDO - In the trading session on March 5, selling pressure increased sharply from the beginning of the afternoon session, causing the market to lose its green color. Stocks in many sectors such as energy, securities, raw materials, banking, retail, software, etc. fell sharply. The VN30 basket had 19 stocks decreasing, 7 stocks increasing and 4 stocks remaining unchanged. At the end of the session, the VN-Index decreased by 7.20 points to 1,304.71 points.


Market liquidity decreased significantly compared to the previous session, with the total trading volume of the three floors reaching more than 1,095.18 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 23,931.14 billion.

Foreign investors net sold for the tenth consecutive session, worth more than 352 billion VND, focusing on codes GMD (more than 95 billion VND), HPG (more than 92 billion VND), NLG (more than 73 billion VND), VCB (more than 64 billion VND), TPB (more than 62 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net purchases in this session included MWG (over 140 billion VND), TNH (over 115 billion VND), VHM (over 71 billion VND), CTG (over 50 billion VND), VCI (over 49 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased significantly compared to the previous session, reaching more than 17,353.13 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increased by more than 1.94 points include: VHM, VIC, MBB, LPB, SBT, SJS, BMP, CHP, FRT, BHN.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 3.67 points included: CTG, GVR, HPG, VNM, GAS, TCB, FPT, MSN, BID, VGC.

In terms of industry groups, this session, energy stocks continued to be in red, with a decrease of 1.54%, mainly from codes PVS, PVD, POS, PVC, CLM, PVB, NVB...

The group of raw material stocks also had another negative session, down 0.85%, mainly from codes HPG, GVR, DGC, VGC, DCM, DPM, HSG, PHR, NKG... On the contrary, the codes that increased included MSR, BMP, NTP VIF, ACG...

Retail stocks were in the red, down 0.54%, mainly from PLX, PNJ, DGW, SAS, PET, HTM, CTF, HAX... Increasing stocks included MWG, FRT, OIL, CLX...

Securities stocks continued a negative trading session, down 1.23%, mainly from codes SSI, VCI, HCM, VND, MBS, VIX, FTS, BSI, SHS, CTS, VDS, ORS, DSC... Some codes increased including APS, PSI...

Similarly, the banking stocks group was in red, down 0.28%, mainly from codes BID, CTG, TCB, VPB, HDB, STB, VIB... The increase included codes MBB, LPB, SHB...

Software stocks also had another session of decline, with a decrease of 0.63%, mainly from two codes FPT and CMG.

Real estate stocks also continued to be in red, down 0.21%, mainly from codes BCM, KDH, SSH, KBC, NVL, SIP, IDC, PDR, DXG, NLG, DIG, TCH, HDG... The increasers included VHM, VIC, VRE, VPI, SJS, KSF, KOS...

Insurance stocks in this session were mixed, down slightly by 0.06%, mainly from BIC, BMI, PGI, PRE, ABI... Some stocks increased including PTI, MIG, AIC...

* The Vietnamese stock market index reversed sharply at the end of the trading session today, VNXALL-Index closed down 12.90 points (-0.59%), to 2,170.82 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 942.11 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 22,425.90 billion. In the whole market, there were 93 stocks increasing in price, 87 stocks remaining unchanged and 290 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 235.41 points, down 1.94 points (-0.82). Liquidity reached a total of more than 54.14 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND994.71 billion. In the whole market, there were 61 stocks increasing in price, 60 stocks remaining unchanged and 109 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 5.96 points (-1.20%) to 492.66 points. Trading volume reached over 30 million units, equivalent to over VND679.03 billion. In the whole market, there were 3 stocks increasing in price, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 23 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 98.69 points, down 0.44 points (-0.41%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 59.88 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 624.04 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 132 stocks increasing in price, 95 stocks remaining unchanged and 161 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 7.20 points (-0.55%) to 1,304.71 points. Liquidity reached over 979.92 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND22,215.69 billion. The entire floor had 128 stocks increasing, 69 stocks remaining unchanged and 349 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 4.06 points (-0.30%) to 1,363.91 points. Liquidity reached more than 447.50 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND12,232.09. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 7 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 19 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are VIX (over 59.86 million units), HPG (over 30.38 million units), MBB (over 30.35 million units), SSI (over 27.56 million units), VIB (over 20.97 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase were CHP (+6.96%), HU1 (+6.90%), JVC (+6.79%), SBT (+5.49%), SPM (+4.62%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were TCD (-6.99%), CCI (-6.84%), BCG (-6.81%), PSH (-6.75%), SC5 (-6.67%).
